Changing digital mirror view ?

Can the camera used for the digital rear mirror be changed a rear bumper camera ? .I installed a cap and have lost its functionality.thanks

 

2 things:

#1 - Keep an eye on the 2022 Topper/Canopy/Shell thread. Lot's of people have been talking about this and it's only a matter of time until the aftermarket comes out with a solution.
#2 - @DexterL might be able to weigh in. At one point, he mentioned having discussions Mike Sweers with Toyota Engineering about the need for a solution.

 

Nada from Sweers after our initial conversation. Had reached out to bunch of companies that build them for other trucks and got zero love- tundra hasnt produced enough interest in the past. still waiting for someone to do this!!
