As long as your Tundra does everything you need regarding towing and loading, you should have no regrets. With proper maintenance, you will still be driving your Tundra long after that Eco-boost is in the junkyard.

No ragrets, regerts OR regrets on this end. Yes, there are things I'd like better. It'd be nice if the door panels didn't scratch themselves when I merely looked at them; or if it had a bit more HP/TQ, etc.

With that said...in 40K I've had no downtime for ANY issues at all with my truck. My previous Truck had 3 recalls (emergency brake cable, media system and valve body separator plate) and a break/fix item before 25K. I plan on keeping this truck for a long time (unless I get a huge deal on a 3rd Gen which is almost guaranteed to not happen anytime soon) so I bought it primarily for reliability.

    I regret trading my 2010 Crewmax for a 2017 86. But I love my '13 Sequoia!

I have the CM on my 2015 Pro. Means 5.5' bed. That's a hassle at times. The rest of the time, it's great fitting 3 growing kids in the back with room the spare.

I thought 2022 had option for long bed? Older ones should have it too.

No regrets here either. Sold my 96 2wd Silverado 1500, short cab long bed, and traded in my 06 mustang. Only issue I've had was battery, but it was oem and after the 3 year mark.

I wish i could work from home and only fill my tundra once a month. Imagine all the extra time and money id have to think about if i should have bought a pos F150 instead. I could download one of those apps that shakes my computer mouse for me and catch up on my naps.

My only regret is in the money I spent trying to turn my Highlander into a truck, before I just bought my Tundra.

I was a Chevy guy for too long. Granted I just traded in my 3rd gen Tundra (way to many kinks to work out still for my lifestyle) but it's an absolute amazing vehicle I highly recommend it in 2 years

Just wish I'd bought a Tundra in '17 instead of the Jeep Wrangler JK. I was quite disappointed in it, actually think the Wrangler TJ's I had were nicer/better built. Anyway, if I'd bought the Tundra in '17 I'd have the transmission cooler and it'd be paid off by now.

But really, I can't complain about my '20 and the 0% interest deal I got. Just rolled 21k this week. Barely broken in at this point.

I will say this, it's a good time to be driving Toyotas and not being forced to trade or repair in the current market!

No regrets. I had a Tacoma before the tundra. Tundra pull’s my 29’ camper a lot easier than the Tacoma. RV center said I had weight to spare with Tacoma. It could pull it on level roads up to 5th gear. That was it. It would’ve ruined something on the truck. Long story short, I traded the Tacoma in on the tundra. Again, no regrets.

When will they learn?!!! I laugh at the Carshield commercials. They will cover your car from 5K-150K miles? If your ride is needing repair at 5k miles, you are buying the wrong crap. Nothing takes abuse like a Toyota! Waited like a kid at Christmas for that first Tundra back in 2000. What is to regret? Still have it and still screams!

I guarantee you'd feel the same way going from 50 to 17 or 19 or whatever the "other" trucks tout as their in town/city mpg's.

enjoy the truck and your needs for it, be glad it's not sitting at a shop once a month.

One spot Tesla has it right. The legacy dealership model needs to be blown up, it adds literally no value whatsoever.

I've had two (now) tundras, 2 tacos, and a 2500 Cummins Longhorn (as for trucks) - I do miss the Cummins and at times wish I still had it today. If given the chance to trade my current tundra for the same Ram - it'd be a 51/49 chance for the Tundra - the Cummins is a great mill, the interior was amazing, and you didn't know you were running an oil burner until you opened the door. The overall longevity of the yota would probably win out, and I'm just a yota guy

Had two F-150s previously, the last one I kept for 7 years and 130k miles with no issues. Traded it in for a Gen 2 which I've had now for 12 years. No complaints at all, but I did like the suspension on the F150 better (and I'm still a Ford fan, but not necessarily over the Tundra). I'm at 107k miles on the Gen 2 and unless I find a deal I can't refuse on a newer or current model Tundra, then I'll have 893k more miles to go.

    2018 Tundra- Work truck package
I would have preferred a regular cab as well, but the regular cab wasn't an option in late 2017 when I special ordered my 2018. I had to special order mine as dealerships don't stock 8ft beds, and I wanted the work truck package. It's long with the DC and and a long bed, but it's not an issue except in parking lots with 90 degree parking. I tend to park a long way away from most buildings. As for removing the back seat, I've had the same thought. I haven't done it as where I live, a big metal box inside the cab would be a great heat sink in the summer time, making the AC work even harder. I keep the rear seats folded up and tool bags on the floor for carrying tiedowns. Other tools as needed can sit on the floor space of the back seat area.

Been shopping for a used regular cab long bed for months and there aren't many available out there that have been well cared for and protected from rust, so I think you and @wing-2 made the right choice.

My regret is taking my 21 to the dealer for the free oil change. Nobody can drive a longbed and they broke the back window on my camper shell backing into something. It has an EFFING camera for these young pukes!
Infuriating how my trucks keep being damaged by other people.
2 different dealers, the first denied it. They had a notation on their drop off paperwork of damaged front bumper but oddly the carbon didn't come through on my copy, GRRRRR.
Now today this, they literally said they wouldn't charge me, that set me off.
The other 3 times the trucks were parked, I am including incidents with the 08 longbed.
No more dealers for me period.

No regrets, But I have to rethink this after thanksgiving day. My wife and sister in my Tundra heading to my other Sister and brother-in-law pulling in the drive way not sure how I miss judged it but he has a stone wall along the driveway which no one has ever hit it. Well my massive tundra I here this metal rubbing and afraid to get out. Part of the stone wall laying down and you can see the rock marks on the passenger rear tire. But the metal sound was my Tyger side steps that stick out far has about a 7 inch scrap or gauge in it. My brother-in-law and family were laughing because they know how I’am with my truck. So I said time to go back to a Tacoma. They I said it also makes it look like I off road with it. Lol. But no regrets. Also no big deal for him since he has them stacked like a wall so he fixed it and no problem.
