Hey, so everytime I have done a recall with my 22 my gas mileage seems to get worse. Now I have no difference between “eco” and “normal” and I am up to 16.1..started at 12.5 when new. Anyone else having these issues?

Are you hand calculating or relying on the computer

Computer, which two weeks ago was holding steady at 13.9 prior to the last recall… it’s really disappointing when I am hearing other trucks in a lot lower

Mine has been pretty disappointing too. 14mpg or so around town on eco. Hoping it gets better with more break in

Don't rely on the on board computer. Hand calculate....

I put slightly larger tires on and found that my distance is off by about 7-8%. Accounting for this and hand calculating I'm at about 17 mpg over 800 miles city and highway.

I assume the eco vs sport vs normal is just pedal mapping?

I just assumed that the first 80% of pedal travel in eco is opening the TB (20%ish)? Sport opened the TB (80%ish) the first 20% of pedal travel? Something along those lines? Is that correct?

curious why this is? odometer should be required to be quite precise so is the fuel sensor just not very good?

Just FYI for others, is great. Plug in your oem size as tire 1 and new size as tire 2 and it’ll tell you the % increase

There are several variables that affect the mpg calculation by the onboard computer. When traveling a long distance it can be fairly close. Short distance.....not so much. Same with my Frontier.

Yes, that can give you a rough guess. It's just the ratio of the diameters. But using that method I was getting the adjustment to be about 5%. Looking at mile markers over 30 miles gave me 7-8% difference multiple times. Not sure if individual trucks with different packages have the computer change to account for different wheel sizes or if they are all the same and based on 18 inch? I have 20 inch.

    Still rolling stock baby....
Currently I am getting 18.5 combined.

The tires I had installed are whats eating up the mileage.

I was getting 20-22 with the stock tires.

Hand Calculate. If after each recall, they're unhooking your battery, then it's going to reset the computer and the dash calculations could be further off.

Drove 105ish miles on last trip. First pic is after about 65 miles, second is once I arrived.
