I’ve read a few Questions and answers on the auto shut off on the 22 tundras. I haven’t seen this question which I can’t find anywhere. When I pull into a parking spot and put in park the auto shutoff turns the engine off. Then when I take my seatbelt off The engine will start back up. This seems like it shouldn’t happen. Anyone else have this??

Yes, I had to train myself not to press down the brake as hard, (I still do it occasionally). It's annoying. Sometimes I just hit the the disable switch.

I experience this also, I don't think I pressed it any harder than I usually do. Not only is it annoying but it seems to stop abruptly with me asking the question, why did my truck just stall?

Can anybody guide me to where this disable button is located? I cannot find it anywhere lol.

I do have a hybrid so unsure if this feature is removed.

    Please help.

The hybrid does not have an option to disable start/stop the gas engine. But it doesn't really need it since we have instant power available from the electric motor. I can only tell that my gas engine is off by looking at the tach. The system is always ready to go the moment I press the gas pedal.

    Ahhh…okay.

Thanks for the follow up. I was literally searching high and low for the OFF button.

I've had to make some hard stops for things like bikes, skateboarders, etc. It's annoying to me that the engine cuts out during a tense moment. I prefer more control over the vehicle. So I do often have thoughts about turning the thing off. On the other hand,it does save a bit of gas. Maybe not enough to be worth it.
