That’s what the request was for though. No trailer.

Hey MSU how are you liking the steel wheels? I checked my spare and the wheel has a sticker that states temporary use only. Is this just Toyota trying to CYA? Is there any issue running steel wheels permanently? I cant see that there would be. Your truck looks awesome by the way I'm going for a similar look with my 2019 although mine is only a SR5.

I really like your stealth mode build. It’s exactly like how i build my vehicles so I think you have great taste . The steel spare wheels are pretty cool. No one does that and it is a great way to set your truck apart from other trucks. It reminds me of the fj steel wheels with the steel Toyota logo center cap. Did you ever try one to see if it would fit?

    Thanks!

The CYA sticker is for the tire’s temporary use. The wheel is no different than the steel wheels that came on all four corners of early 2nd gen base models. You can run them full time with confidence.

Thanks man! Yeah people’s reactions are funny when they open the door to see the Platinum interior.

I have had my eyes on those center caps to try out, but I haven’t taken the time to search for some to buy.

Nothing new lately. Just enjoying it!

I’ll probably have my local fabricator do some sliders and a roof platform for my topper sometime this summer.

Man, I wish I would have thought like you and done black steel wheels! I have an SR5 that came with the 5 spoke steel rims (painted silver) and I'm still using those with spidertrax spacers. They've been working out just fine with 295/70r18 tires (same Coopers as you) but I'd like a more "blacked out" look. I just have a hard time spending $350 per wheel on some black aluminum wheels. I have 5 wheel/tire setups and keep my spare rotated in the lineup. I should get 60,000 miles out of this rotation schedule plus it keeps a full sized spare onboard.

I might steal this idea from you. Looks really cool!

ETA: I've been shopping for some OEM steel wheels. Any thoughts on these?https://www.summitracing.com/parts/jnt-stl69512u45
They look like the same OEM Toyota wheels, I just dont recognize the brand name.

This doesn’t look like a bad option if you can’t find any in local salvage yards like I did. I think I paid $150 total for all 4 of mine.
