Not sure if I'm going to get around to raking leaves this fall or not. Then again, my maple won't even lose all its leaves until February so it doesn't really matter.

The dilemma here is, will there be a break in the fall rains long enough for the fallen leaves to dry enough that the bagger on the mower can pick em up.
Too much ground to rake. When they stay wet I have to use the industrial backpack blower and it is NOT nearly as efficient, lol

Hahah we only gotta deal with mesquite beans down here! And thankfully mine doesn’t drop a bunch. My neighbor must have a different kind, it starts to sound like hail when theres begins to drop

We’ve got an ash in the back yard that drops pointy seed pods all summer long, and a huge tipu in the front yard that dumps yellow flowers EVERYWHERE during May/June. Will be interesting to see what our elm and cottonwoods do this fall/winter.

We had cottonwoods growing up, they dumped a lot. They also search for water sources underground, so we ripped ours out and put fantex ash trees in

I remember it well, my friend! Mesquite trees are the trashiest landscape elements you can have. Constantly dropping bark, twigs, pollen, beans, branches, little leaves or a combination of the above, lol! Plus, you’re endlessly trimming the thorny little spurs. But, like I ‘splained many times to people, if you live here, (when I lived there) anything that grows and provides a little bit of shade is a beautiful thing!

I think palo verde trees fit that bill better than mesquite, at least most mesquite can handle a little wind. Palo verdes are always falling over or breaking limbs if a mouse farts to hard

We have 3 hackberry trees growing here that we brought with us from Camp Verde and 3 ash trees we grew from seeds that were found stuck in some stuff that was unpacked when we got here. A little bit of the old homestead.

I usually do mine with the mower too but I haven't had to cut grass here since July. Didn't even burn an entire tank of fuel in the mower this year.

I'm kinda getting over RSV I picked up from 2 of our kiddos. I typically fill up a big drink of jack n coke. Water said I need to drink water. So it'll be water all day....until the trick or treating starts. I guess I'm not using the translucent toyomafia Nalgene since she'll be onto me then. Bring on the jack and coke and jack.:burp:

That’s been my findings as well. They are a professional unit meant for commercial kitchens. They are on sale right now for $167 from $240 so I think I’ll jump on it.
