I am starting to put together parts to replace the suspension on my 2016 Crewmax 4x4 with 120,000 miles.
    Eibach Coilovers set at 2.5"
    Eibach rear shocks for 0-1.5"lift
    Toytec Shackles

I am wondering if new CV boots will be needed?
Considering new UCAs, but not sure

    Running factory 18" TRD +60 wheels. 295 70 18 tires
Thanks for any advice or experience.

If it’s leaking or torn, then yes, otherwise leave it alone.

Sounds like you already knew what you wanted to do. I went several years after lifting my truck before I had any CV issues.

I am looking for experience. So thank you. Did lifting your truck cause your "CV issues"?

No, snapping it on an obstacle did.

I have tons of CV axle swapping, breaking, rebooting, and rebuilding experience. Boots will tear when the ridges are too close together and rub up against each other, or when you snap the axle and keep rotating the axle, or just dumb luck when something damages it (think branches or rocks).

I see. Is there any way to adjust the oem boots if i lift it so the boots dont rub against each other?

When installing "new" boots you would want to pull the boot more towards the center of the axle, which spreads out the ridges, and clamp it down on a clean axle shaft so it stays in place. If you try to do that with an existing boot, you'll probably get grease on the boot where you clamp it and it will just slip back down. I've tried.

There's no guarantee that a new boot will last longer. I put about 1000 miles on my then brand new RCV axle and the boot tore . Of if you install a new boot you might end up not clamping the boot down hard enough and it just spews grease from the minute opening. Done that too.

If a boot tears, sure it'll get messy, but you should be able to drive home - unless you're really really far from home - but then again, if you wheel, you should be carrying a spare CV. I drove a few hundred miles with a torn boot - 500 hundred to be exact.

If they are not torn now I wouldn't go through the process of changing. At 2.5" of front lift it shouldn't be too bad on the boots. Are you an avid off roader? After the lift keep an eye on it. Would you do the reboot yourself or have a shop do it? I would always keep the oem cv axle and if a boot tear is caught early have it rebooted. I have driven a few hundred miles with a torn boot before changing cv axle (on my Tacoma) but that was all pavement driving.

Not off road at all. Just replacing worn suspension, and adding lift in doing so.
