Guna be in the market within the year for a retirement gift to myself!

I hear good things about the 2021 Pro but never see it with a front bench seat. Not sure why anyone would go with a center console and give up another potential seat from someone. Plus I like my bird dawg n hound riding rt next to me on huntin trips.

You have to get an SR or SR5 with no upgrade package to get the front bench. And then it comes with a 26gal tank instead of the bigger 38gal.

The tank can be swapped. The bench can not. I wish I had the front bench.

But then you lose that massive storage hole in the middle where all kinds of stuff goes never to be found again. 8^)

Congrats and good hunting for a 2.5.

Hopefully the used market prices comes in line for you within the next year.

But you gain a secret under seat compartment!
Only complaints about the bench seat are the small tank (can't drive to my parents without a gas stop) and how long the column shifter is. Like the position, just it interferes with passenger knees and phone mounts.

Thanks! I can never gain a grasp which packages offer what items. I’m not too worried bout the big tank as my driving is usually pretty local. Good info tho!!!

Thanks!!! Been a long road n finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!!
So….as far as hunting for a 2.5 that’s reasonably priced that has a front bench…I been keeping an eye out n haven’t seen too many….do you think supply is guna get even worse n I shud buy in this high market…or hold out til these crazy prices come down a bit n hope there is a 2.5 left. Btw….the new 2022 misses the mark for me and it appears to have been castrated compared to previous gens!!

I can say with some confidence in my opinion that in my area house prices are coming down further, oil prices will be going up....but these damn vehicles. The US has an economic war going now with China, it includes banning the sale of US made equipment that is used to make CHIPS to China. So I don't see the CHIP situation getting better any time soon. I read that Toyota announced a reduced Global vehicle quota. Until that all gets resolved its going to be a crazy market. And you are looking for a model that is rarer.

Is it possible to put a Tundra bench seat sourced from a wrecked truck, and replace the buckets in another Tundra ? Maybe someone has done it?

    Regarding your 2022 comment.
I came to the cabin this afternoon and on the way up I passed a new Tundra and it was a TRD like mine. We passed each other slowly at a country intersection, and I seriously can't believe how far down I was looking at the driver, and he looking up at me. Just saying.

Not sure bout replacement front bench question…seems like it may be tough. It’s not absolute deal breaker n I wud get a console version if the deal was right…but for spending all that $ I wud like to get what I want. Thanks for your input and interesting encounter w the 2022 truck…Toyota really shit the bed on this one n I was so excited for it to come out thinking it may be my retirement truck.

I found my 2014 SR5 earlier this year. Great condition and the crewmax with bench seat was a must for me and my family. It was hard to find, but they are out there. I really love it, but my only complaint is that the driver seat doesn’t have many adjustments. Hard to get a good seat position if you’re driving a lot like me. Probably an easy swap but haven’t tried yet.

Dogs seem pretty happy having their own window to stick their head out. I upgraded from a bench seat reg cab f150 and while I miss having the dogs right beside me, the rear of the Crewmax is better for long trips.

    Congrats on the upcoming retirement!
Do you normally have 5 other passengers with you to make the bench that much of a requirement? As far as supply and prices, I wouldn't expect them to change much. Unlike fords, these trucks aren't all over the place so lower supply equals higher demand and higher prices. Not to mention the reliability factor that comes with the Toyota brand.

In my opinion, your best bet is to hold off if you can and wait until that exact very truck you want appears. Sounds like you'll be keeping it for a long time so it may be worth it having to spend a few extra pennies on it.

Good luck and make sure to post pics once you find it!

Good advice!! Thanks!! I don’t normally have 5 passengers but for some reason the front bench is a must for me…maybe I just remember my dads old ford w the front bench as a kid or my first truck, a 1972 Chevy, w the big bench. I’m guna hold out for the perfect retirement gift to myself! Lol

Yes Sir, Just take your time and open your search results, I found a few in Oregon and Utah as well. Both locations had better pricing than Colorado for some reason.

Really? I have never had any issue with passengers knees or phone mount. Mount is center of dash directly above radio.

center passenger conflict, obviously the normal passenger can't get their knee over that far.
the phone mount I have conflicts with is the the hondo unholey + ram arm. There's one specific position I have to put the arm/mount into so it will allow the lever far enough into park to release the key.
