Is this the correct oil filter?

    The part number on the box is the kit number with the 2 orings and the plastic drain tool, vs. only the filter element that is not available separately anyway.

    That is the correct filter for your truck, so you’re good to go.

    Good catch. Never noticed. Have four in garage all bought from dealerships and all have the exact two different numbers. One is from a local dealership and the other three are from SparksParts. Contacted dealership and this is absolutely normal and correct. There are a million people asking this question on different Lexus and Toyota forums and the numbers are OK. No worries. Love when people find stuff that makes you wonder have the F didn't I see this before.

    Any idea how long you can store these? Do they get too old in storage that they get brittle or something? I have about 6 I bought … figuring I’d have enough for 3 years of oil changes. Bad idea?

    Three years is fine but probably keep them inside. Here in Phoenix with the zero humidity and insane temps I try not to let parts hole up in garage to long.
