Well first off I don't know where you live but here in texas they are def not selling FORD below msrp at all. They are 81-84,000 for same equip compared to tundra and the Ram Limited you talk about is not all that and the motor sucks ass. I had a 2019 limited it was MEH nice quality interior and ride but power sucked and it looks old. You can get a Tundra 4x4 Plati for 64,65,000 hybrid for 68,69,000

Granger Ford (Iowa) is 3% under invoice. They move some serious volume.

The digital rear view mirror is standard on the Pros. It was listed strangely for 2022, but was included on every Pro truck. Can’t imagine they removed it for 2023.

Interesting. Toyota is known for their quiet rides and I have seen other posts saying their Tundra was very quiet. Will be disappointing if it is not up to Toyota standards.

My 1794 with Power Running Boards, spray in bed liner and a couple of other adders is just under $66k. Supposed to be in Mid-November

how are the window seals at the rear doors, does it look like it still sticks up? and do you have that extra strip that is shown a few posts up?

Don't let these people get in your head. People on this forum don't seem to understand the concept of failure rates. They hear a couple anecdotal stories about specific people with specific problems and they just assume that every 3rd gen Tundra has the same defect. What they don't seem to comprehend is that the owners with no problems aren't hopping on this site to talk about it. When's the last time you saw a thread with the purpose of talking about how they haven't had any problems? Because people don't create a thread to tell you everything is smooth sailing. People create posts if an issues arises to find out if anyone has had similar issues and how to address it. I've owned 2 22's now. No wind noise, no bed rattling, no wastegate issues, no badges falling off, no gaps, no leaks, no window seals sticking up. Would I have done some things differently if I designed the truck, sure, but everything seems to work as intended. Don't assume that the issues being had by a few are issues being had by all, that just isn't the case.

I get what your saying, and I want to believe that, but the failure rate is much higher for this gen 3 so far than the last years of the gen 2, so thats what we are watching and gathering info on.

especially when you take into account the amount of trucks sold and the amount of problems so far. The failure rate of a single item is likely lower than the chance of any failure or defect right now given the widespread amount of failure items

I have been on tundra forums since 1999 with a 2000 tundra, this would be my 5th tundra when I get one and I have never seen toyota have such widespread issues as far as amount of different things going wrong.

I have faith they will fix the problems and Im trying to determine when Im comfortable dropping 70K, I just cant risk getting a truck with excessive wind noise for example, that would drive me crazy and Id have to then sell it. So Im waiting and watching.

that said, it looks like they may have a new fix for 2023 that was just posted, this is type of info Im after

The turbo issue was resolved long ago. As for the lack of tow hooks, it's annoying but you aren't supposed to pull anyone in reverse anyways due to the directionality of the cut of the differential gears. So keep it moving out of this thread, bud.

I believe it is standard on the PRO in the US. I'm in Canada and the 22's didn't come equipped with the digital rearview but I hope my '23 has it. My wife has a '22NX 450h which does have the digital rearview and it's awesome.

I think some people desire tow hooks for recovery when off roading

everyone thinks they should be there but they are not, so mostly everyone has just moved on

there are some aftermarket ones out now if you have to have them.

Yeah I personally have no issue with it. I am getting the truck to use as a daily driver back and forth to work, occasional hauling of dump loads, furniture, lumber etc., and intend to get a camp trailer in a few years when my kids are older

I picked up my 22 the end of January, so I'd consider it a fairly early of the run model. I can't help but wonder if it has these issues and I just don't notice any of them. I see these same complaints from so many.

It most definitely is on the 22s. I have a March build date and this is there on both sides.

I have a 2021 Ram Limited night edition. It’s a great truck and blows away the Capstone IMO. With that said, I’m considering a 23 Pro, mostly because of the MGM color (both of my previous 2.5 gens were MGM and both of our Lexus vehicle were their version of MGM (nebula grey))

Just checked, my 2022 has this part on it too. Haven't checked the actual build date but I'd assume it's be considered a later 2022 build.

I wonder the same thing too. Mine is a late August build and it is the quietest (albeit newest and highest cost) vehicle I've ever been in.

I think this strip you’re talking about it on all of them. I have it on my 22 and I have an early November build. I have slight wind noise. Not enough to bother me
