I find that my OEM fog lights (TRD OR) are about as useful as an old flashlight running on tired c-cell batteries.

Rather than complain, I'm hoping to see what members here are doing to upgrade their 3rd Gen lighting, be it fog lights or anything else! Always keen to see the wiring solutions too.

My personal to-do list has those fog lights at top of list, and then back-up lights. I changed out every bulb on my 3rd Gen Tacoma and it made a world of difference.

It had always been my understanding that the purpose of fog lights was to allow oncoming vehicles traveling the opposite direction to see you in the fog. Not to assist the driver

I'm curious if anyone has added footwell lighting to a Limited. I thought I read that the top-level trims have this lighting. I'm curious if wire harness is ready for lighting and just need to add some simple OEM pieces or if it's custom job only.

Do the 3rd gen tundras have an existing footwell light?

If not, could probably run off the DOME or cargo light circuit?

I believe the 1794, Platinum, and Capstone have it. I may consider doing a custom tap into some other lighting, but was curious if the Limited would have the same wiring in place and can just plug and play an OEM solution before I go that route.

i posted in a thread the other day , shows all the parts... essentially you buy the led's and 2 splitter cables and you could run it off the signal in the glovebox and wire both footwell lights

the same LED's are in the door handles *or just below - its all part of the mood lighting. you can buy it all from the dealer for about 500 usd.
