I have an OEM non-reman steering rack I bought for crackie that I can measure eventually... I don't know when that will be. I have to clear some things up first...

 

I'd say it's about 12 ultras long.

 

So that’s about ~6” less length than the width of the tailgate…?

 

My car is the same way, but I have to turn em on then kill power really fast. At least Kia makes it easier.

 

Close to it, if not around 8".

 

It'll definitely fit width wise for better storage.

 

Yeah, w/o tie rod ends on it, probably more like 8" skinnier than the talgate.

Still prefer a measurement of the actual rack, if @FrenchToasty can hook me up. I’d hate to commit to a storage option and the rack not fit.

 

Anyone got leaf blower suggestions? My battery powered blowers are showing their age and really struggling to move the amount of leaves and acorns I have here. I like the low maintenance that comes with battery powered units but considering moving up to gas.

 

I have the big m18 leaf blower and a whole assortment of batteries and chargers. I like the low maintenance also.

I have a battery powered Ego brand one sitting in storage. I should dig it out and you can use it for free in the meantime.

 

I didn't even think about that. I already have two good DeWalt batteries. I could give one of their blowers a shot.

 

You could "buy" one from a big box store and give it a shot. If you don't like it, return it. Unless you're like my dad and consider that "stealing."

It's not like you're gonna get it dirty/oily/gassy. It's a leaf blower for crying out loud lol

 

My electric one for drying cars plugs into the wall. But i dont have any leafs to blow.

I'm told the deavers on my truck are now too high to match with the fronts, hah, can't get a break.

 

The reviews on the 20V DeWalt aren't promising. With the amount of leaves I have, I might need gas.

 

I bought this 7yrs ago. 4-cycle, uses straight gas, so no BS of mixing oil and gas, keeping separate gas can, etc. I use the hell out of it, and have for 7 years. It's finally getting to a point where I should probably service the carb, but otherwise hasn't needed any service whatsoever in 7 years. Powerful as shit compared to the cheaper Poulan 2-cycle unit I had before it. I highly, highly recommend dropping the coin on it, though a Husqvarna or similar backpack unit may be better for larger yards.

I'm running MD and @FrenchToasty has brand new HD on. I would like the MD+/HD- (in the middle). But both are woah when you first put them on before they settle.
