    I'm working on two albums on my profile page. Going through the FSM, and adding that info to these albums for the common questions like testing oxygen sensors, etc.

    One album has been started. "First Gen General Info" and the other one "First Gen Testing info" hasn't been started yet.

    I think I'm gonna seperate them into three albums. One "General" one for the 5VZ and one for the 2UZ. Thoughts?

    @shifty`

    Have you had this one? I picked it up Friday when we were in Alpharetta. We also went to Six Bridges brewery which was really good.

    Touche! You are absolutely correct sir; my father would be mortified at my slovenly use of English language.

    Oh yes. Don't forget Love Canal too.

    Love Canal was proposed as a planned community, a "utopian metropolis". But the developer only got as far as digging a large pit before giving up due to lack of people who actually wanted to live there. In 1920, Niagara Falls bought the pit and used it for a chemical dump. The US army disposed of waste from chemical warfare experiments in Love Canal's pit. Hooker Chemical acquired the property in 1947 and continued chemical disposal. By the 1950s, it was filled with 21,000 tons of toxic waste. Hooker Chemical covered it with clay and soil and declared it sealed. They sold it back to the city of Niagara Falls, which built a neighborhood on top. Residents noticed strange smells and odd illnesses, as well as a shockingly high rate of miscarriages and birth defects. It wasn't until 1978 that the extent of the area's toxicity was revealed when an investigation by the local newspaper led to federal attention. Tests showed inhabitants of Love Canal had chromosomal damage caused by environmental pollution. Over a thousand families were relocated, and the Superfund program was born out of the incident.

    I thought maybe you meant Montana. I just read an article earlier this year about an entire region that’s been burning underground for a couple of decades, but not 60.

    Hmmmm... I always wondered about adding more light strips underneath the access doors also. I never really looked that much into it, but neat that it might be possible.

    Stayed late after work and installed the Ironman 4x4 lift on the gf’s forester. Looks badass and drives amazing! It’s only a 2” lift and I didn’t go huge on the tires, only 235/60r18(29x9). They don’t rub at all and will fit perfectly with a little spacer! Alignment numbers came out perfect and she drives straight. Looking forward to seeing it in the light tomorrow morning.

    and thanks to inflation my plate now worth $150 more than it was 2 years ago lol

    still sitting in storage. Legit looking at just replacing steering rack and came to search. Also with my cat replacement pending (need to update my log) I’m looking at their transmission + cat armor.

    hope you’re ready to lose to the Vols on Saturday.

    Hey… weird ask… but do you happen to have pics of the steering rack uninstalled… or do you still have the one one, and willing to measure it for me? Is it OEM, reman, what? I want the dimensions, trying to figure out in advance how large on-truck storage must be, for me to carry a spare steering rack next to a spare axle.

    Hmmn, probably without-? I guess I wouldn’t carry it preassembled. But please provide both measurements, I guess, if it’s no problem. I’m envisioning a hard case with a foam inset cut out to accommodate both side by side. But it may be that the rack is too long for this to make sense. Anyway, the racks on our trucks aren’t as weak a component as the racks in later gens, so I’m not totally certain I’d carry the rack. But with supply chain problems, I’d feel better having one at home for the Tundra railroad to deliver if I have a major break.

    If y’all want to weigh in on this, I’ll be an enthusiastic receiver of information. :crapstorm:

    And, uh, I guess I need to verify the rack is the same for all 1st gens. That’s my understanding.

    He hasn't brought a new steering rack yet. He was saying the skid plate is still in storage.
