Hey y’all been looking for a while, any major differences between a 2019, 2020 and 2021? I know 2020 went with the push button start but any mechanical differences?

Some 2019 trucks were flex fuel. That's about the only mechanical difference.

2020 got the push button, smart handles, and the shark fin antenna up top. Only thing to watch for there is if you go to install the ESP rear under seat storage on a crewmax, the old models will not work on 2020+ trucks. There is an electrical connection/cable related to the 2020 changes where one of the bins goes.

2020+ is based on the limited. The 2019 is based on the sr5. The 2020+ is far better for features, and material quality

Really? We have a 2019 4Runner TRD Pro and the seating and interior materials look and feel identical to a 2021 Tundra TRD Pro I drove. So a 2019 would not be the same materials?

You cannot compare different models in the toyota line. The Tundra was years behind other models. They do not update the entire lineup vehicles all at once.

The 20' and 21' come with the fin antenna on the roof NOT the antenna on the passenger fender. A good way to tell a 20' or 21' from the exterior.

2020+ has more soft touch surfaces but most noticeable is the thigh you touch every day. 2019 steering wheel is plastic and the 2020+ is leather wrapped and it’s a world of difference.

whwn I deposited on my 21 pro I couldn’t find any to test drive.

I found a 2019 and was so hit disappointed that I was pissed I deposited on a 21 pro. Did some reading and found out the differences. When I picked up my 21 pro it was night and day difference

If only the 20/21 TRD Pro's came in voodoo blue. I would be all over them like white on rice.

My buddy has a 20 Trd pro and I have a 19 in voodoo and one of the first things I did was stitch on a leather wrap what a huge difference that alone made for 65 bucks and 4 hours of my time no more plastic lawn tractor wheel lol

A basic pro 2019 sr5 vs 2020+ fully loaded pro is that a basic trd pro easier to mod how you want because there are less electronics/creature comforts like non jbl stereo, no duel climate control push, button start, leather steering wheel etc. not sure if there is anything else. Its like having a clean pallet to make it the way you want not say you can't do it with a 2020+, and also less chance of electronic failure (creature comforts) but most likely you wont really have any issues because its a tundra:rolleyes:.
If you decide to go down that rabbit hole:turtleride: aftermaket/OEM stuff I find are easier to install like stereo, leather steering wheel remote start etc. to make it the way you want. AFAIK mechanically they are the same.
