Finally touching the audio on my JBL equipped 2015

Couldn’t resist the crazy deal I got on a Kenwood DMX 1037S. I’ll be tackling this in stages since I have other things to finish on the truck.

Next I want to change out the door speakers with 6.5 components. What are your recommendations for mount adapters and components. I’m willing to spend around $200 on each set.

    Thanks I’m advance.

Are you going to run a separate amp to power the components? Check out CDT cl-61a-25 pro classic

I don’t plan to run a separate amp right away but definitely in the near future

CDT is amazing in your budget range for components with passive X-overs. I myself run hybrid audio technologies and am about to do a crazy install on my sequoia. I will document it when I get under way. But it's going to include a kenwood dmx 1057xr HU, HAT components front and rear running active up front off of a zapco 16channel dsp, zapco150.6AP amp, and then incriminator audio 15" sub in the rear with a 2000w amp. Check out Diymobileaudio.com there are a ton of people that sell car audio in New or great used condition for cheap.

I plan to do subs. Not sure I’ll I want 1 or 2. I’m also unsure if I want to run dual amps a single 5ch. I’d like to keep everything simple for this. I’m going to definitely take my time on completing the full setup. I want to finish my suspension first. I just ordered 3.0 triple bypasses for secondaries up front.

I used mexican radio (TT) speaker adapters, definitely worth the price.

I have those too. Did you order the Block off plates for doors from Sounds Good Stereo?

Now’s a good time to get some audio deals. Skyhighaudio had some good deals and down4sound. Picked up a new subwoofer from Fi Audio. Might be a little overkill for a 12 but it’s the same guy that built my last subwoofer and that thing was awesome.
