Went and had new Michelin LTX A/T 2 LT285 /55 R20 122R E1 installed today (The tire size on the door sticker for a TSS).
Everything is good except at low speed tight turns I'm rubbing on this little shield? The rub happens when backing out of my driveway which as a mild slope.

The shield/has picked up a warp over time so that may be the reason.
What is it's purpose of this little shield?
Should I take it off or just not worry about since it's just plastic.

It is to direct airflow, MPG BS. You can easily remove them and it will cause no issue. It is quite common for people to remove them when fitting larger than stock tires or when switching rims w different offset. Take em off and forget them.

Yep, just take them off. By the way, how is the ride now with those tires compared to before?
