    Hey fellas,

I don't see much mention of the TRD Pro suspension setups being put on SR5s to level the front. This common practice? Or am I not seeing it since there are better options around the same price? I can only imagine there are some floating around with some of the Pro guys going with top dollar suspension setups.

    Thanks!
    Jim

I might have answered my own question. Started looking at buying it new - and at +$2k... forget about it. I thought it was like a cheap upgraded strut/spring similar to a 5100 setup.

Yep, you answered your own question. There are plenty of better and/or comparable options that are cheaper than a pro suspension setup!

Not to mention a good bit of the aftermarket options are adjustable...the pro is not.
Big incentive to buy aftermarket in my eyes.

Right. I posted the question too soon. Took about 2 minutes to realize that while it's a sweet setup, I wouldn't buy it over any of the Toytec options.

    Thanks!

Hell, for the prices I've seen PRO suspension going for you could damn near buy ADS 3.0's. Even I were to buy a PRO I think I'd upgrade suspension too.

Thats my end game. Saving now! I keep trying to come up with a short term cheap solution but all paths lead to just waiting for Toytec BOSS.

While I have your attention - did you upgrade UCAs? I did a 3in ICON on my FJ Cruiser without UCAs and coulden't get alignment back into perfect spec.

And - I see you list having only done the front? So you left rear stock and used the adjustable front BOSS coils to level?

    Thanks!

I don't have UCA's but can't get alignment perfect, it's close...damn close. Camber (or is it caster) is the only thing that's off by 1* from stock.

about to get UCA's in a couple months though! figure it can't hurt and can only improve the ride/handling.

oh no I do have a 1' block in the rear along with BOSS rear resi's. Once I get bigger tires, i'm cranking the front up another half inch or so and getting a 1.5' icon leaf pack. That won't be for a while though, since I just bought my Toyo AT2's in 33's last summer

Front coilovers are cranked to 3" and rears are at 1"
