Thanks. Yeah I meant hood bulge. That doesn’t look too bad. I wonder if you could cut the ends off the screen and use them to cover the gaps or put something else there to fill that in.

 

I would like one myself. It’s something that I don’t want to attempt. Need to find someone that knows how to do this and carefully.

 

To fill the gaps at the ends I would think that could be done with a bent piece of metal bolted to the lightbar bracket and butted up to the light and that should fill that gap. What I'm not sure about is, doesn't the hood bulge/screen have a slight cure to it? If so that would result in a gap that I'm not sure there is a way to fill/cover. I don't have my truck with me to verify right now, maybe someone who's put a lightbar in theirs can confirm if there is a slight curve or not.

 

When the S8 is installed, there will be about a 3/4 inch gap between the bottom edge of the bulge and the front of the bar. That is why I used the screen on mine. Cutting the ends off of the screen just for the ends would look like crap.

Hey Redline870, You can either wire in the backlight feature into a separate switch on the unit itself or tie it into any key on the ignition lead.
