Ended up getting this quaint site at a busy camp ground in Fairmount BC. River as a backyard for the long wk wasnt so bad.
In the second pic you can see where the water from the hotsprings meets the river, rock hard mineral deposites and pee warm water.

From our campground in Gettysburg we went to a little picnic area next to Little Roundtop. Made some burgers off the tailgate. Check out some sites.

Hundreds of soldiers died in that battle and maybe 3 times that were injured. We walked a trail nearby that sight.

Just as an FYI for anyone looking to start a camping setup. I went into homegoods today and happened to swing by the kitchen section. Couldn’t believe how cheap some of the cooking supplies were. Only a couple bucks more than goodwill and much cheaper than target/Walmart.

Hooked up and got an early start going home. Stopped to go to the bathroom before hitting the road. Came out and I had to take a pic of the truck & camper with the amber hood bulge light on. It’s one of my favorite mods.

Any tips on gear to pickup? We've got an air mattress, LED lanterns, and a jump box/inverter for charging electronics so already. I'm not a big outdoorsy guy per se so this is all new to me too.

Closest spot will be beach camping on Assateague Island, MD...eventually traveling elsewhere if they like it permanently.

I like those 30 second instant tents for easy setup and easy fold ups. we are on cow boy camper but still carry the tents for failsafe option.

Butane torch from home depot that attaches to any propane can, makes a great fire starter, my son loves it.
