2023 Windchill Pearl

I've owned a 2001 Sage Green, still own a 2007 Nautical Blue (350,000 on the clock) Son is daily driving it. Just ordered a 2023 Windchill Pearl Limited 4x4 non hybrid for myself. Dealer says 6-12 months lead time. What did you all experience with actual lead time?

 

I don't know about lead times however the Windchill Pearl is a beautiful truck! Congrats on your order.

 

My experience was lead times vary greatly based on trim and how specific a truck you want. My advice, is to go to multiple dealers and get your name on the "list" with what you want. Then search the internet in addition in case you find your truck at a dealer you hadn't sought out. Don't pay over msrp, prices are coming down, and don't settle as you know you could drive it for hundred of thousands of miles .

 

Time will all depend on how long it takes the dealer to get the exact truck you want allocated. I was number 1 on a bunch of dealer lists with deposits down for a hybrid and didn’t have black listed as a color choice. Dealer got allocated one and texted me and I had less than 10 min to respond, luckily I missed it and got my WCP

 

Already ordered. We found a dealer selling at MSRP all models. Ordered a new Rav4 hybrid for my wife and a Tundra for myself. Lead time for a Rav 4 was about half of the Tundra lead time. I may start buying all my aftermarket stuff while I wait.

 

out of curiosity where did you find a dealer selling at msrp? i am shopping now and the dealers are trying to sell to me for $10k over msrp... if i need to travel to pick one up i dont mind doing that. thanks

I put a deposit mid May and got my TRD Pro mid September with no mark up. Bought in Western MA, Haddad toyota, great guys.

 

Going on 11 months for me.

Wow, the waiting game definitely sucks!

 

an 'order' in the US is basically getting added to a wait list for an unknown amount of time until they are allocated a build that best matches your request (ie, order). in the US they do not take made to order builds. the ideal case is to find one on the lot. the next best is an unclaimed/unsold 'allocation' which generally will have a temp or permanent vin #. securing an allocation through a written purchase agreement and deposit on the agreed to price on that vin is the most predictable. its a binding contract. i found an unclaimed allocation in late dec. build date was to be jan 3, then 6, then 7 and finally built jan 12. it arrived to dealer feb 3 so it was about 3 weeks from build to delivery to me.

 

I traded in my WCP 1794 4×4 TRD OF to a dealer in Louisiana. My trade is a 1794 4×4 long bed. Happy to share contact info if you like.

I agree. I have a 2023 Crewmax Windchill Pearl that was just built on the 10th. I put a deposit down Nov 2021… But if you call around and put your name down with multiple dealers, I found trucks come available.

I put a deposit Nov 6, 2021 on Windchill Platinum long bed.
I got this email today from my dealer:
Hello,
Your order is in the queue and waiting for allocation. I have you down for Tundra Platinum in 6'5 ft bed in Wind Chill Pearl color. The attachment is the sample vehicle specs and msrp for you for your review. Please let me know if you're open to other color and sometimes it may help to get the vehicle a little sooner. I will update you when your order is assigned and when it's become available.
I told him i waited this long, so will stay with this exact configuration and color.

Finally arrived…Going into shop tomorrow for new tires and level. Installing Retrax this weekend. PUMPED!

 

I've been waiting on my Wind Chill 1794 since dealer put in preference on July 6th. Arrival date is Dec 5.

 

Getting mine (1794) at MSRP from Ft Walton Beach Toyota, FL. They still have increase on Pro and Capstone.

 

I paid MSRP as well at Heritage Toyota.

 

It’s not the paint. It’s the parts and supplies that are delaying everything. Plus the economy sucks

I put in deposit 18 Nov 2021 and had mine delivered 18 Aug 2022.
