Did you get it at a good price?

Where did you get it from?

Was it difficult to install ?

    Any advise?

    looks really nice!!!

    Thanks!

For that price, you can get a much better bar. The advantage to the NSV is that it is a plug and play fitment wise. It is only 9,000 lumens though. The Baja S8 is a trickier install, bit it is 25,400 lumens.

Also to mention, they changed the wiring. The NSV won't even light up until you go to high beams now.

Does the Baja light fit as good as the NSV? The nsv bar looks like it fits great. Im planning to wire a light bar to a switch pro so I’m not interested in plug and play light bars. I also don’t what the night rider and other modes. I only want it to fit perfect and bright as possible. I don’t want to spend extra money on a wiring harness and lighting modes that I’m not going to use.

I’m leaning towards the bajadesigns light bar for in the bumper grill. I don’t plan on adding it to my hood. The only thing you need to remove the bumper for the light brackets but I had bajadesigns on my 4runner Pro. They are a awesome light bar.

Hey Rangergillikin, Baja Designs sells an up-fitter harness for the S8 light bar that will allow for a simple install directly into your switch pro unit. Check out the link below.

I’d love to do the Baja Designs light, but that gap between the trim and light would make me absolutely bat sh*t crazy. For that reason, and that reason alone, I’m most likely going with the NSV.

Will do. I'll get some shortly. I used the screen from the factory insert.

I would definitely consider this because I think it looks really sharp, but doesn’t that kill a significant amount of the light output? I’d imagine a comparison photo of the light output both with and without the screen would show a pretty significant difference.

Hey Redline870, If you would like I can get a quote made up for you so you have a pricing idea. You do raise a good question about the grill restricting light output, I don't have any images of the difference but I can't imagine it's too drastic. Feel free to email me personally if you would like to move forward with a quote at, brandonk@gmail.com.

As stated already, for the money it is a very weak lightbar. If your just looking for something to fill the space that looks cool then it's a G well spent. But having a lightbar that is just something for other people to look at and almost useless off road is I guess up for debate.

Hey 737fixer, Comparing alternative options, for the price of the S8 you can't find another light bar with a 25,400-lumen output. As well as the amber backlight feature. Yes, there are cheaper options but for the price, you are getting a quality product with a Lifetime warranty as well as a fully serviceable light bar. Most companies alone will only offer a limited warranty and don't have the ability to open up the light and make desired changes to the light. Even with the restraining light from the grill, the S8 output will still outperform other options on and off-road.

Basically he is saying what I posted a while back. The NSV is $1K for 9,000 lumens....total waste. The S8 is a much better deal.

You guys are really doing a good job of convincing me to go with something else lol. I already have Rigid fog lights and A-pillar lights. I may need to show Baja designs some love too. I appreciate their activity in this thread and on this forum as well!

    It's a no-brainer lol. NSV for $1k at 9,000 lumens or Baja S8 for $1k at 25,000 lumens. :D

I know, I know, but it’s a new truck with less than 10k miles so I really don’t want a gap between the light bar and the trim. Clean modifications that look OEM+ is what I’m after.

I’d like to see a picture of how the Baja light bar looks in the hood scoop to see how big the gap is. The picture that Tundra234 posted looks great but it’s hard to tell how much gap there is with the screen in place. I was going to remove my screen when I install one. I don’t care about the night rider function but I do care about fitment.
