I was thinking big ole Prevost type ride.

I'm not sure there is room for a recliner in the Rivian.

Not bad, but should be full forward control design. Hood is useless with no engine in there.

Cab over designs tend to test poorly in the safety department. I'd imagine that the design helps with crumple zones in the event of an accident. Plus, there is probably front trunk, so not totally useless.

If you are wanting an EV for performance I can see how that might work (not considering towing or range). If you want one for the economy that's debatable. Maybe with the rebates.

If you want to assuage your guilt over global warming, there's an alternative. When wealthy prominent green advocates defend their extravagant fossil fuel usage they point to the purchase of carbon offsets.

After many sleepless nights of guilt over driving my gas guzzler 5k miles/yr it turns out I can buy carbon offsets for less than $50 year to totally offset my use and sleep like a baby.

    Problem solved.

    wife is driving
    1st at stop light.
    fart-can 350z next to us.

    he revs.

the wife asks if she should run him.

    of course.

    no contest.

EV's are brutal off the line. unquestionably unbeatable.

for the inquisitive we keep the car:
    in Plaid mode
    comfort suspension
    comfort steering
    medium height
    noise cancel on

amazing tech for a grocery getter.

I wish the 3’s had adjustable suspension on the fly. :(

That 350 must have been running on hopes and dreams thinking it had any chance lol

I love taking people for a ride and then ask them if they can rip around their ICE vehicle without catching attention? Nope.

    question:

Regards to charging away from the home

based on a supercharging rate of say 300 miles per hour.

what is the rate that all the other EV cars charge at normally?

what rate do all those commercial units "usually" charge at?

Not sure, would have to look at Plugshare or A Better Route. They charge much slower, and probably a higher cost

So, any leaks on semi or cybertruck range when towing heavy? Those are the numbers I desire the most. Ram, for all its faults, is dependable in this department.

In my youth I collected a few speeding tickets b/c I was young and dumb. Don't find any enjoyment jumping off the line, sad but true, I live in fear of making an unnecessary mistake.

Also got my ass kicked by a guy 3x my size in a porsche when I thought it'd be cool to try to race him. So kinda gunshy on that stuff. Hence performance EV has no extra appeal to me. A $20k 3 (call it a one.point.five?) would draw me in. I'd be game for 50 miles of range even. But that's just for put put stuff.

The thought of my wife racing anyone, my jaw would be on the floor mat.
