2021 TRD Pro transmission when driving 20mph or less

How long has DAP tune been around? Wondering if it affects long term reliability of the engine.

I currently use 87 octane gas at Costco. If I get my Tundra DAP tuned will I need to use 91 octane?

 

There's people in my local group that have put over 100k miles on while tuned and no issues. I put 40k on my 08 with no issues. Not sure how long they've been around and I currently have no experience with other tuners yet. The tune simply "cleans" everything up and doesn't add any additional stress. I'm saying that because I've never read of a truck having issues after a DAP tune.

You can still run 87 oct as I did in my '08. I ran 87 in my '21 until I had it tuned as it allows the truck to actually take advantage of the higher octane.

 

Are tunes like this similar to getting a pedal commander type device?
