Yeah, it's always great being forced to do two jobs because your company isn't willing to pay to fill empty positions.

I'm sure their quality control went through the roof when all the leftover employees started working a ton of overtime whether they wanted to or not. Maybe that's what happened to this poor guy's hood that started all of this.

Bowing out before making any valid points?

typical nowadays. Just make excuses instead of coming to grips.

reading comprehension man. He stated they went to automation and made things more efficient. Nowhere did he state he was forced to pick up more work.

Point me to an invalid point? Guy tells a story about some people quitting for a potential better opportunity, it didn't work out, so they tried to come back. Said the manager wouldn't hire them back because it sets a bad precedent, then backtracks that and says that it is because the other employees happily picked up some OT, then backtracks that and says they automated out some positions and re-org'd. It is a cut and dry straw man argument, and not worth debating. The only point you have come up with is that people aren't worth what they think they are worth. My counter would be that corporations are grinding the middle class into poverty, and convincing people that giving raises would drive up inflation, while they make record profits year after year for the last half century. Have these "people that think they are worth more than they are" gotten cost of living adjustments to combat inflation? If you didn't get a 9% raise this year, you effectively took a pay decrease.
