I haven't seen that beer in years. Since I was a cheap beer connoisseur.

I am a craft beer snob like most of the cru here.

…but I went with a choice for marathon drinking and also a choice that wouldn’t lead to me getting angry with people going into my cooler.

i did pack a small cooler with some crafts for me and my brother in law to privately enjoy.

I take a combination route with my (admittedly large) beer consumption. I mostly drink Miller Lite (cheap mass produced day beer), then switch to a mid-level (still mass produced, but less so) like 805 for the evenings, then as a nightcap I will have one or two porters or stouts (currently Left Hand Milk Stout).

Yes, I drink a lot of beer, and have the well earned beer gut to prove it.

I've had my travel trailer at the house for the last week as I replaced the water tank that fell out and fabbed up new mounts so it doesn't happen again. Got it in and so far (knock on wood, pray to the baby Jeebus, whatever) it seems to be working and not leaking. So, we are going to hit a 2 night camping trip next week. Monday is a holiday and I still have a few things to work on, so I said fuck it and took all next week off. Don't have to go back until 10/17.

    Yep, that's what I found.

Unfortunately the State of Arizona doesn't agree with the old English ways and continues to deny my right to drink Miller Lite in the office. :(

Up until around 1900, drinking beer or wine during work was fairly common and with lunch, always. I think you can thank osha for the policy changes! lol

Eh....it may be a little bit of "Cleetus and Velveeta's" hillbilly asses getting drunk and knocked up on lunch that contributed to it a bit too

I will say that the changes also included child labor law, widows benefits, fixed weekly hours, overtime, and a lot more.

Yeah, I like good beer, but only consume one or two a day for budgetary reasons. My go to is Bud on sale. But when I was younger and poorer, cheap beer was the only option. Schlitz and Milwaukee's Best for 99 cents a six pack kind of thing. Sometimes Drummond Brothers was 89 cents. Mickey's big mouth was in the mix too.

Since you were discussing beer and deities, one of these goes in our Christmas manger every year. Even if my interior decorator takes it out and I have to put it back.

Hell yeah! I remember the days way back when we had some friends who's older brother would buy beer for us. He had lost his drivers license so we would pool our change and ride our bicycles up to the 7-11 to buy as many 12 packs as we had change for. If I recall it was Schaefer beer., cheapest thing in the store.

Now it's Miller Lite and stock up when the grocery stores have 30 packs on sale.

When Bud products get to $17 a case we each go pick up 9. Sometimes twice in the same week. So 36 cases to get to the next sale.

Schaefer, the one beer to have when you're having more than one.

We do the same thing. Max out whatever is the limit on the sale. Here we hit Albertson's and Fry's grocery stores.

More than I did. Ran up to the grocery store with a big list for shit around the house and camping next week. Turned into the parking lot to see that it was a crowded madhouse, said fuck it, and drove home. I'll go tomorrow morning when all the good and decent people are wasting their time in church. Currently drinking beer and plan to go out and screw with fixing shit on the trailer.
