To be HONEST , my situation may be disheartening BUT other folks are screwed... We were lucky and had Full insurance coverage

If FEMA & the State of Florida do not step up with a STRONG approach , Southwest Florida will never be the same...

And sadly, how this is handled will determine if we keep a permanent Florida address ...

What town is/was your home in? I spent a lot of time in Venice and Sarasota as a kid. If you were standing on Venice Beach facing towards the pier, my grandparents were in the closest of the three matching condo towers.

 

I do have a Fenway Park story. More weird than exciting. A friend/coworker and I went to Boston on a business trip. I'd never been, but he'd been a few times. He wanted to walk the city, hit some bars, and generally get up to no good, and I was game. We found ourselves outside Fenway. The first inning had started already, and all the little scalper dude had left were outfield seats, so we got the tickets for less than the price of a beer. In we went, only to find out they were playing the Yankees. Haven't paid attention the last couple of years to know, but in 1998 the fans at those games weren't very approachable. We got a beer, found our seats, and had just gotten sat down when at the section just below and to the left of us a row of probably 20 police marched each side and in front of the section. One of the officers pulled up a bull horn and said 'everyone in this section, stand up, and get out'.

I'm still a little disappointed we missed whatever it was someone did to get an entire section of the ballpark ejected.
