McGregor or Mayweather?

Anyone that honestly thinks mcgregor has a chance is smokin some good chit!!! This dude is less skilled than an amateur boxer and he's getting schooled by his sparring partners and you think he has a legit shot to beat arguably the best boxer ever...

The UFC should go back to it's roots an create 2 open weight divisions. Like 150lbs to 190. Then 195 to Heavy weight. It would give some of the older guys in their careers a chance at another title after having competed against guys their own weight but have aged out to be competitive with the younger guys. It would make it a little more exciting.

 

I was fortunate enough to see Mayweather fight Hatton about 10 years ago. Was in Vegas two days before the fight, ton of Brits there drunk as skunks stumbling around singing Hatton's theme song and guaranteeing Hatton would thump MW and knock him out.

CM reminds me of Hatton. Loudmouth, thinks he's all that and a bag of chips etc etc. Hatton actually hurt MW in round three I think, but that was it. MW put on an absolute boxing clinic, a surgeon operating in precise manners. From the next round on, the only offense and defense it seemed Hatton had was to try and wear out MW's punches by absorbing them with his face. A pure boxing clinic if there ever was one.

CM is 10 or 11 years younger - so a definite advantage from that perspective. Another big advantage is MW's been out of the ring for quite some time. That being said, the only way CM will win is if he can get inside and brawl, and knock out MW.

If MW is in his usual fight shape and get's through the first 3 or 4 rounds, I don't see CM having a shot. CM isn't a boxer, MW is one of the best boxers of all time.

If CM can't get on MW early and often, and put in some damaging blows and knock him out - MW is going to out box the hell out of him and win by a wide margin on points.

 

McGregor's got skills. He's a damn good boxer. That's That's why he's champ in 2 weight classes. He's probably got the best hands in the UFC. IF YOU WANT TO WIN money bet on McGregor.

 

I'm pretty sure it's mayweather wins just because it's boxing. Mcgregor can only use 1/4 of his skill set. Put them in the octogon and mcgregor wins in less than 2 minutes.

 

Second prediction is maywether starts getting the upper hand, rattles mcgregor, mcgragor muscle memory kicks in and accidentally kicks or tackles maywether and gets sued bc maywether is a baby ass bitch

 

This fight is basically the reverse of Randy Couture vs James Toney, except one of them is in his prime. As much as I'm not a fan of either (I was hoping Aldo would beat the hell out of McGregor a few years back), Mayweather is one of the all time best boxers. I have a hard time thinking as good of an MMA boxer as McGregor is, that he can hang with someone as good defensively as Mayweather is.

Mayweather is also pushing 40 and hasn't fought in going on 3 years. And he wears high heals like a woman. Lol

Use your head. I'm not talking about betting a lot I'm talking about winning a lot. Bet $100, if I McGregor wins an upset you'll win 50 $60,000. Mw was at -600 last week. McGregor's had a lot of upsets lot of surprises I'll take that bet for a hundred dollars. Unless you're rich you're not going to win $$ on a Mayweather win.

 

no matter what McGregor will get some $$$. He used to make $183 per fight. I applaud him for making himself relevant and making millions. Fighting business is tough.

To make it interesting: 11 rounds of boxing and the last round would be MMA.

Yeah I know. The odds have really moved around. Now the are -500 mw to +350 Connor, bet $100 win $350. You could win twice that on Connor 2 weeks ago. Connor has had alot of upsets in his favor. I'll hack t9 go to BWW and watch it.

 

If I were to bet, I would bet mayweather by decision. It's +250. Bet $1000, win $2500 and go buy an RTT.

 

First round victory +1600 both ways looks good too. Connors had several of those no one expected. Connor will be ready. MW may underestimate connor. That would be a mistake.

 

Mayweather is the winner in a boxing match and Mcgregor wins MMA. Saying that, you never know; It depends on who the gamblers want to win.

 

If it went 2 minutes in the octagon its because McGregor was toying with him like a lion toys with a baby gazelle

 

I think that must mean something very different where I come from... My understanding of that is that it would be on an entirely different PPV channel and i def don't want to watch these two dudes doing it.

As for the fight... It's the same as other topics i'm not allowed to mention on tundras.com... who do i hate less... Mayweather for me.

 

I agree, it's who do I hate the most. I'm going to say I dislike Mayweather more. I'll be pulling for Mcgregor. The only reason I say this is MW has dodged the fights everyone has wanted to see. He wouldn't fight Manny or Oscar in their prime. He waited until they were on the downward slope of their careers. I also think boxing has been so corrupt for a number of years and that's why MMA has taken the lead in fighting sports. I use to love watching boxing but now it's really a sad to see what the sport has become.

 

Nah, I mean more of a good battle in the sense of gladiators, warriors, etc where the best is pitted against the best. Both at their prime. No payout except "king of the hill" status and honor.

He wanted to fight Manny a long time ago.. manny didn't want to agree to the drug test that mayweather wanted him to take and he also wanted half the purse which mayweather didn't agree to.. manny was in steroids for years and after mayweather requested he took that blood test manny hasn't knocked anyone out since..

 

From what I understood was that Manny has a phobia of needles and having his blood taken. And he had to agreed to take a blood test immediately after the fight in the locker room but Mayweather wanted a blood test the day before the fight. Manny thought that would weaken him going into the bout. Mayweather knew of his fear and played on it. That could be totally false but I remember hearing that on a radio show when all that was going on.
