My name is Sean and I'm a new Tundra owner. Just picked up a 2016 CrewMax SR5 after being truckless for a few years. I had previously had an FJ Cruiser that I setup for the deserts of Southern California and Baja. The kids started complaining about the size of the backseat so it was time to move on.

Now that we're in Denver, the truck will be setup more for overland exploring in the mountains. As a photographer, I'm also going to use it as a backcountry mobile studio.

I've had the truck about 2 weeks and some Camburg bits started arriving yesterday from SDHQ. More on the way from them as well as Demello and Expedition One. Can't wait to have it all together.

Ha! Does it help if I'm not a native?

So far, I've done the fenders, taillights, headlights and painted the badges as well as the grille. A paint matching TRD Pro grille is on order. Topper and a Decked drawer system should be here next week.

Nice. So glad to be out of there. Life is much better up here. It's been almost 5 years and I can't imagine living anywhere else.

Thanks. How have you been? Popped into Rising Sun the other day for the first time in a long time.

As a working photographer, pictures shouldn't be a problem.

I've had a little bit of practice. FJ was pretty easy to work on so we'll see how this one goes. This was the FJ right before I sold it.

    z1ODDQK93Yv1QeQoSUjPnPNzRTtpgPEKIcLevdOt_596c5ee5679bc6e7806671a605b37c452da40f4d.jpg

ARE Z topper and Decked drawers. Had thought about a Truck Vault setup but it was stupid expensive.

I may start a build thread.

You will love the ARE Z - I ordered mine without the lower trim piece where it meets the bed rail for a seamless fit. I will be interested to see pics of the decked drawers. For pistol storage and other valuables, I went with a Lockerdown console vault. (LockerDown.com) a very solid vault. 15 min install. A Nice looking FJ.
