Just got a brand new 2022 black tundra is worth to spend the money on the ceramic coating? And is it better to do it sooner or later? Thank you in advance.

i'd personally say worth it in terms of making it easier to clean/wash. being that it's black, i'd find a reputable shop to do it since black will show any and all errors. doing sooner is better so that there is less paint correction to do before application.

How do these clear films that the dealer puts on affect the ceramic coating? Is the final product just as good or is it not worth it after Toyota slaps on a huge piece of film on the hood?

PPF goes down, then ceramic coating on top of it. pointless to coat then apply the PPF

I just got my black Tundra 1794 ceramic coated with Kenzo+ and it looks amazing!!!!!! I would definitely suggest it...and actually, the black looks better than with the dealer coating as the blue flake appears more prominently and it is amazing....definitely do it!

Makes it hard to do paint corrections
i get the order of things, my question was more towards the final product. Seems like you would need to take off the dealer installed ppf, do paint corrections, put on new ppf, then ceramic coat.

I personally would rather all paint corrections to be done at the same time. so i'd say to do it all before ppf is laid down, or remove and do it. seems like doing any paint correction with it would create a "line"

The best plan is to take it directly from the dealer to the ceramic coat vendor to minimize needed paint correction. It is absolutely worth it.

Im thinking of applying PPF to the entire truck, ceramic tint the windows, then applying ceramic coat myself to save on the cost. Has anyone DIY ceramic coat their truck? Was it easy or hard?

the coating is the easy part. Prep work is the hard part. Finished mine yesterday wearing Shine Supply Beadlock Pro.
