I've been wanting to start a Black truck thread. I'm glad you started one. I'm having my King shocks installed on Tuesday so after that is done I will be posting new pics.

Their Lund 5" oval wheel to wheel. They were on the truck when I bought it. I hate the look, but are functional. I don't need them to get in the truck but my wife does. I do like them for getting into the tool box. Their like echo chambers when snow or gravel bounces off them. My wife agreed to getting new ones when they rust out and the passenger side already has a three inch bubble right on top where she can see it every time she gets in. Hurry up rust!

Definitely. Dry it, blk detail, blk wax, quick detail. I'll wash mine about every 10 days but do the detailer wipe down about every other day. As long as its just a light dusting and not mud or caked on dirt. Chemical guys has a black wax I'm going to try in October so I'll post a review. If your truck is 3 years or older I would get a dual action polisher and take a weekend and go over it. Takes a lot of time but well worth it for black trucks. Watch the chemical guys YouTube on removing black swirl marks. Not difficult at all just labor intensive. I recommend good headphones and beer, lots of beer.

I think I'll check it out and the chemical guys black wax to. My truck is going on four but not quite 30k! The paint is in really shape. The bed was repainted in Nov and I haven't waxed it properly yet. Gotta get on it to keep it looking good!

I'm sorry, black is great..........for about 15 seconds. Then the wind blows or someone sneezes and it's dirty again. Too much work to keep clean and looking good. I'll stick with my white is right Tundra and look good doing it.....whatever it is.

I won't explain all the reasons why white is my choice unless you want to know, (and the reasons I wouldn't want black).
But I will say I pretty much enjoy looking at every Tundra I see, clear back to unmodified gen 1's, and I'm hard pressed to consider any of them boring.

Sadly Gino, I do not. Always back up your photos off your phone. It was dc 2wd with the saddle tan leather. 315 nitto terra grapplers on 22s, leer tonneau cover, blacked out led taillights and 2 10" black racing stripes on hood roof tonneau and tailgate. Had it 5 years and it looked new when traded with 30k miles. Hindsight should have kept it and paid off the little bit of remainder. Next time....I mean this time....unless 4th gen is mind blowing.

I have a great love for black vehicles... my Honda is black, I had a black SaaB and a black Dodge at the same time, I wish my super white CrewMax were black, but the white is so much easier to keep clean
