Nice. I think all those 25#s from Rockwood/Flagstaff fit our trucks perfectly - I prefer the exterior color on the Flagstaff over the Rockwood even though other than that they are exactly the same - the new bunkhouse now has a side or rear access door, correct? Enjoy!!

    Thank you!

I was a bit intimidated as it's larger than my outgoing trailer, but I was relieved to get out there with it and feel how wonderfully it towed (granted it was empty, though). I even think it towed smoother than my GeoPro did. Perhaps the result of dual axles and a more dialed-in WDH. I've got it loaded up now so I need to go out and measure the hitch weight and give it a pull.

I kind of liked the Rockwood decals better but the dealer with those gave me a low ball trade offer on my GeoPro, so we went with Flagstaff. I'm okay with either, though.

This is actually their last 22 on the lot, which enabled me to get a smokin' deal. The 23s did indeed add an access door to the under-bunk storage on the rear wall. It would certainly have been nice to have, but not worth what I would have had to pay to get into a 23.

Yea the hitch weight starts out around the 600# mark which is in our wheelhouse for overall payload and makes these more appealing than some others I really like of similar size. Trailer looks great behind your truck and even though I will be a newbie at pulling a TT from what I’ve read our trucks should handle this weight and length without issue…

Sure like this setup (Nash 22H). Pulls easily with a WDH. I get between 8.5-9.5 mpg fairly consistently, pulling around 60-65 mph. The brake controller easily handles this trailer.

The only drag is the 26 gallon tank. I need to start bringing more gas cans on trips.

Spent the weekend at Hills Creek state park in PA. First trip out with the new truck and it pulled like a dream. 75-80 thru the western PA mountains and if it wasn't for the fuel gauge I wouldn't have even known this little 4,500lb camper was behind me.

Hi all, new to forum here. We tow a 20ft Airstream Bambi…super easy to tow with a BluOx WDH and a set of blue Sumo Springs. Been down and back through Oregon, California, Arizona, Utah and Idaho a few times. Set to get a lightweight pop-up canopy/camper in November…anyone here have a pop-up camper set up (ie gfc or super pacific) and tow a travel trailer simultaneously on here? Would love to know what other mods you’ve done specific to your suspension setup - thanks in advance!

I just got the Tundra so I still need to get the hitch height and WDH dialed in. Driving around the neighborhood, the Tundra feels SO much better than the Tacoma it’s replacing.

My blank canvas for the overland build
Drove this setup from Dallas, Tx to Sacramento, Ca. Pop's was a master mechanic and had a tool box weighing in at about 1200-1500lbs plus all the misc tools he collected over the years. All and all...I'm thinking we had every bit of 7000lbs loaded up in that thing! No WDH just a 2 5/16 ball. After driving GM trucks and SUVs my whole life, I was very surprised on how this truck handled that trailer!

On a side note...My pops did have an Equalizer Hitch for his camper. I did bring it back with me too so I'll be ready when I get my camper this coming camp season

That a big leap from 17' to a 25', must add about 4000lbs to the tow weight. Have you towed in the mountain yet?

Defiantly a lot more weight but overall length is 5 foot difference from hitch to bumper.
I was on my way back from elk camp in Tillamook state forest in the Oregon coastal range and it did very well.
WDH really helps as I towed the Hideout without one.
I’m running the EAZ Recurve 3 and seems to be ok for now.

First time towing my boat with the new to me Tundra… little bit of squat, but she handled it like a champ.

Think I’m going to flip the receiver from a 2” drop to 1” lift for the next go round in order to level the trailer.

If you have no problems with sway, put some air bags on the truck, it will lift you up two inch in the back.

Mike Skinner drove the Toyota Nascar Truck back in 07/08 and on. Truck had a good career. Not sure how ownership went per say but Mike Skinner acquired it. It was set up for road course and ran Goodwood Festival of Speed in England. Bill Goldberg the wrestler drove it and can be seen on YT. Ill link some vids. Truck had the old style nose when Goldberg crashed it. New front put on. My truck is the only one that was converted to a two person truck. 3 can be seen in England. Truck was also doing ride alongs at COTA and Sebring. At some point it was crashed once again. I bought it and started a full restoration. Instead of running an older 600hp truck motor I went with a newer Cup motor and it dynoed 840HP at 8400 where they stopped the run. It was steady climbing so not sure why they stopped the run. I also went with a new Andrews trans instead of old Jerico due to parts availability etc. I have redone the entire truck. New street style fuel cell system which can handle 2700 HP and has surge tanks etc. Every fuel line etc is new as I made them. All new tin work. I installed a fuel guage and added lights. Just little stuff to freshen it up and fix stuff that was either not there or broke. It just came out of paint. All new ID kit(decals that identify it as a Toyota) is ready to go. I have a full exhaust designed and ready to install for noise DB restrictions at local tracks. Should be running next week. I had built an older style witha trd phase 14 motor and will include the link so you can hear a TRD Phase 14. That was through standard nascar boom tubes and is loud. Reall too much to write about. I will answer any more specifics. Some pics of it in various points in its life. Jesse James has driven it etc. I love finding out the history. The before and after is quite amazing. I look at the pics and cant believe how far its come. It has taken me a year. Any questions send them over. I will post a specific thread on it once I get it running next week etc.

Anyone towing with a 22 TRD 2WD Sport? Curious how it is with 1" lowered suspension from standard.

For starters, you can drive through Tn and keep traveling east to Pa and deliver that sexy 80 series to me:D! I got the 80 series bug bad…
Start with a level trailer and balanced load over the wheels. Avoid any mountain passes with 10% grades and high elevation as you loose 3% HP for every 1000’ above sea level. Make sure Tundra brakes are in good condition. Make sure your trailer brake is set properly and expect about 10 mpg for the trip.
    Safe travels brother!

    Haha thanks man.
This is my baby and I couldn’t not bring her with me on the new Journey.
I have just under 60k on my tundra and I’ll be changing all of the fluids in the diffs/transfer as well as a fresh oil change. I’ll confirm brakes have a lot of life left and I plan on bleeding them before the trip as well. I just got an alignment the other day so I’m hoping to be all set. What straps do you all use to secure vehicles. Preference wise?
