Yeah but Fords, Rams, and GM still suck though, right?

Only issue I has was with my ice 21 transmission and material wear.

wish trucks, my Toyota included were as smooth as the lightning.

Did you see Hoovie's video about towing with the Lightning?

I don't need "smooth" that badly.....

It would be great for running to Wholefoods or OrangeTheory.

So, weirdly, Ive only seen one or two Lightnings, but there are 4 Rivians running around my area and I see at least one pretty much every day.

I'm seeing a surprising number of Rivian trucks here too, and it's not even an affluent area....

People that use trucks for truck stuff were not considered during Lightning development and nobody will convince me otherwise. Most of these EV's need 400+ normal/250+ towing range to be viable and until then, they are going to be the domain of hipsters and lumbersexuals.

    IMO of course.

They were considered but the technology and cost isn’t there to deliver the numbers you’re talking about.

the f150 is identical to the current Gen and it’s the most popular work truck. It has a generator, plugs in the front, lockable underseat rear storage, engineered to retain the flat floor.

Does your dad know that you have been in the basement playing on his computer ??? lol

IF THIS IS TRUE, you sold the Pro way too cheap. My dealer has a "used" 22 Pro for $115,000 and several more "used"with 30-200 miles (like5) use for $99,991

I’m done until my raptor is built. Interest rates are curbing the market for sure.

I also got a new job that was a 30% base comp bump and I’m pinching Pennie’s to buy into the market a lot more

I got a call on an AT4X on the lot for 3k off msrp but it ain’t that great.

honestly there’s nothing out there I want. I was talking a deal on a 23 Camry xse v6 with red interior but came out to 43k. Got the CRV for 39 and it gets better mpg and has better cargo utility. And it’s not 900 miles away.

Wife had a '19 Camry XSE V6 in Super Sonic Red. Beautiful color and those things are pretty quick for a V6 (301 HP). Needed all wheel drive so she bought a 2021 Highlander AWD V6. Wishing now we would have got the Hybrid since fuel prices went crazy since then. Not too familiar with the CRV but sure seems like a ladies ride to me, but am sure it will be a great rig

The market tends to be made up of Trader types - Buy Sell, Buy Sell, Buy Sell ....
and Investors - Buy and hold.

I am definitely more of an investor now. Kind of like my '18 Tundra that I bought new with a 10 year ownership outlook. Just not seeing that long term value in these new Pandemic era trucks yet.

Dr. Z you seem to be more of a Trader ?

There is a new series on Netflix called "Eat the Rich" which exposes the meme stop saga with Game Stop. For those not aware everyday people Traders took some big Hedge Funds to the cleaners.

My stock purchasing comes out from ‘fun money’ which is the money I have left from work, money made from flipping, and mostly money made from sports betting.

I had a sweet spot job that allowed me to max out 401k, 457b, 403b + pension for a while. So all that is diversified and age appropriate risk categories.

I remember the GameStop, bed bath and beyond and AMC era. I watched the head dude make his 40 + million.it was awesome to see folks do it. Some had some big balls taking their life savings or cashing their 401k to do it.

I didn’t get in on that it just wasn’t my risk profile. But I did cash in during the pandemic doing several put options on the travel industry when Covid first hit and then buying up this big names when they were low .

My brother keeps trying to get me to invest more into silver, gold, and other tangible precious metals. So I remember when I went and bought my first gold and silver bar. Boy how disappointed was I that a few thousand doesn’t get you a movie sized bar.

I also used to flip other stuff like Rolex watches, nike shoes, and Xbox and PS5. But they required more grind than my lazy ass had the time for.

Gold has been a big disappointment, relatively flat largely due to investment monies that went to "analysts say" - to Crypto - and look what happened to anyone that invested in Crypto

I have some invested in Gold producing companies that pay dividends. This is easier than buying actual Gold and paying someone to store it. Easy to buy and sell Gold Producing companies stock, get out of if needed.
The Car Truck business is in a disconnect, and the stock market is no different right now. They (Experts) say when the companies that are making a ton of profit, have no debt so interest rates don't matter, and are giving the profits back to shareholders .... when their stock prices are dropping with everyone else, we have come full circle and there is a turnaround coming.
But no one has been through this before, where they printed free money to keep the world from crashing during the Pandemic, and now are trying to rein it all in without causing massive withdrawal symptoms.

I can agree with the disconnect. Gonej are the days where earnings statements mean anything. I can count numerous times where I had some tech calls and had great earnings and they drop. Meanwhile Tesla, Rivian and GameStop can miss earnings and skyrocket

Hey, I am picking up 23 CRV for my wife next week in Ottawa Canada. Only colors available are White and Black. They will be shipping grey color in Nov. Black looks amazing but I hate cleaning it every week. Also gets quite hot in a summer. I took it for a test drive 2 days ago (lower trim) and it drives MUCH better then previous generation. Almost day and night.

CVT got improved, but it is still a CVT.. I hate myself for buying a vehicle with CVT transmission, but it drives so nice and she will probably change it after 4-5 years anyway...
1.5 Turbo is on the edge of delivering enough power to drive it in the city. But the way she drives, its more then enough...

I prefer Rav4, but Toyota has nothing in stock and waiting time is close to 6 month. In the mean time, we got amazing trade in for a 2016 Sienna with 55,000 miles on it. Used cars market is slowing down so I am afraid if I wait for Rav4 the value of the minivan can drop by 20% or even more...

Ha ha, would grab 22 Rav4 hybrid in a heart beat, but 2.5 years wait time here in Canada for any hybrid cars.

We went to “look” possibly drive one and they had a used certified 2022 with I shit you not 150 miles on it! We got an amazing offer on my girlfriends car and just like that we had a new RAV4. I asked how long the wait would be if we ordered and they said 2-2.5 years so we got pretty lucky!

I’d love a rav4 hybrid or prime. But not happening around here. Used are $45k+. This was under $40k so it’ll do for now

I hope a lot under $40k... That seems like a lot of money for a commuter car to me.

I have three boats with 2 Yamahas and a Honda BF50. I rate the Honda above the Yamahas.
    Also have a Rincon 680.
