Nice! Me and my wife shot behind the house yesterday.
Plus killed a coyote from my yard this morning.

I have (finally) a scope for my Ruger 10/22. Don’t I need a rail for it? If so, recommendations?

A free pro tip. If you are going to run a wine bar, don’t do it in an open air building that has a bar making chicken wings. Cuz white, red or Rosé, your wine is going to smell like chicken fat.

Bonus tip: people will walk into you shop wanting a glass of wine and suddenly have a craving for chicken wings and beer. That means No Sale…

Took a vacay with the wife. It was a great time.

The Tundra passed a milestone on the way there. We passed a couple dozen line crews from Texas and a few other states heading toward Florida. I know there are some linemen/PLT's in the forum. Thanks for leaving your families and wading (literally) into a couple of weeks/months of danger and difficulty.

It was sunny in Alabama almost the whole time we were there, with cool mornings and warm afternoons. A little windy on Wednesday, but otherwise it couldn't have been better weather. I'm going to start listening to my wife when she tells me I need sunscreen even in the shade. Had some good food, good whiskey, and good cigars, and very little excitement or worry.

While we were on the beach relaxing, there were millions of people very much not relaxed, including two of the guys on my team. One had 18 people in his small house (with one bathroom) in St. Petersburg - his family and neighbors. All are okay, but there are a lot of folks not okay. The storm looked pretty ominous from the Florida/Alabama border.

Found a good piece of wood left over from the contractors. I ordered some brackets and then will hang it in the garage to put out RC cars on

    yeah…. 8 straight 12s would be rough!!

My sweet spot was working call-back/call-outs (which was always double time), and working holidays (triple time). Back when we were working I'd work Columbus Day, Nevada Day (sometime in Oct), Veterans Day, T-Day (not T-Rex day), the day after T-day, Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Years almost every year. 8 days of triple time would pay for 4-6 weeks of winter vacation in San Diego for the wife and I every year to "unwind".

Plus... it was my way to give back to the younger guys in my Unit(s) w/o seniority, so they could have holidays w/their kids/families that they normally wouldn't get
