Make sure you don't pull on the tabs too hard. Other forum members have stated they broke the tabs when pushing on them to remove. I didn't have this issue. It doesn't take much pressure for the tabs to release.

Just FYI, since you also have the TRD OR, if your rear bumper panels are chrome you can Plastidip those as well. I did mine (in addition to the front grille logo) and it looks much better than chrome.

    Fender Flares?

I plan to have the fender flares on my 1794 color matched. Unfortunately that means I can't drive it until I get them back from the paint shop. I wanted to buy an unpainted set from Toyota until I saw the price for one. So aftermarket I went. I came across these:

    https://theyotagarage.com/products/...yle-fender-flares-2022-toyota-tundra-a-t02223

Yes they cost more than a set of OEM. Although all of the pictures show them on a short bed, they apparently are only for 6.5' and 8' beds. I even contacted Rough Country directly and they said the same. So now I am considering the TRD Pro flares with the lights if I am going to spend the money. Does any know if they are any wider than the stock flares? Has anyone taken theirs completely off? I want to know if there are any special clips that I need to watch out for when I go to remove them.

I am so confused on these as I want same thing and made same calls with different answers from RC. If you pull up RC website these exact same flares are $100 cheaper and they use to say only for the longer beds, but now says for any sized bed. When I called RC yesterday they said apparently now they fit any 2022 Tundra. I have them on order supposed to ship out 10-10-22. Once I have them installed (hoping they fit) I will post pics. I’m leaving black initially to see how I like before deciding to paint to match truck. RC also told me they purchase the company that manufactures these, just an fyi. I have the short bed 5.5. You truck experts out there, I am a novice, are the fender flare openings the same size or wider on 5.5 vs 6.5 beds? TIA….:help:

Glad to hear I'm not the only one confused. I thought I would get more of a response when I pointed out that the pictures were of a short bed. All I got was "they are not for a short bed." I believe the openings are the same but the front edge of the rear well may have a different angle (where the rock guard is). If there is a difference it looks miniscule. I look forward to your pictures. BTW, I have read in some reviews to watch out for sand getting between the gasket and the body. The flares move a little and it will damage the paint over time. That's one reason why I am trying to get info on the OEM TRD Pro flares. They at least snap into place.

Yeah I haven't convinced myself on the purchase. I just don't want rocks pelting the paint from the wheel and tire combo I plan to go with. I don't need 2" of coverage with a +20 offset. I am hoping the PRO versions are just a little wider but I am sure more expensive. I think the Toyota parts site has the original flares around $150 each. I'll have to dig some more to figure out the part numbers for the PROs. As you stated the yotagarage prices on every part I have researched there is far more than it costs to order directly from my dealership.

To each his own, I just like the look of them. Not worried about real world practicability. They also have different brands and sizes (bushwhacker, etc), but I like the look of these the best.

Installed the weathertech floor liners today. The carpeted floor mats get dirty way too easily.

Just minor stuff. For example, Undercover bed cover, Tufskinz custom door sill protectors, and TRD air filters.
Love the way Weathertech now goes over the threshold a bit. I want to put the full length back in though so the hump is covered as well. Looks very nice. Thanks for the post.

Any options for yellow/amber fog lights yet? I'm pretty sure Baja Designs has some, but they're a little rich for my blood especially after exchange to Canuckistani Pesos. I've thought of some sort of film overlay, but I'm not sure about quality with that.

You didn’t like the PRO or just decided the raptor is better overall?

I loved the pro. But we’re a one car family and the kids have more activities so the wife likes having the crv.

There were some things I didn’t like.

    1. not a fan of the single stage white. It was thin and I had some premature rock chips on 1900 miles vs other cars that didn’t after tens of thousands

    2. Steering radius. I got used to it but I found myself avoiding drive thru and having to park in satellite lots to go to places. And wife wouldn’t park.

    3. a few door rattles from the bass. Prob easily fixed.

    4. I feel like we’re playing hot potato and I don’t want to be stuck holding the potato when the music stops. Taking my equity checks and going to invest. By the time the raptor is done the crv will be paid off and so the truck won’t need her approval.

another big plus is the raptor is mine . And what I mean by that is I get to pick everything and order it the way I want it. It’s the color I really love and the options I desire.

Got some things from Tufskinz and installed on the truck. I didn't like the gloss black on the center console at the shifter, so I purchased the matte black center console overlay. I like it a lot more than I thought I would, although it's way overpriced. I also got the rear bumper cap overlays in the "rough" texture that they sell. I don't really recommend them. I think they are way overpriced for what they are and you can still see some silver. I should've just used plastidip. Live and learn. Lastly, I got the door sill protector overlays. They'll do the job.

I agree on the bumper covers! The first one was embarrassingly difficult for me to line up and lay down straight, the second one on first try came out almost perfect and after what I thought was as good I could do I still had slivers of chrome showing like yours. Would’ve been much happier if they were like $20 but for $100 no way, I also recommend plastidip or just replacing with black panels.

I see only one mention of this 40 pages ago - but has anyone come up with some sort of rubber organizers for the armrest area? Stuff just slides and makes a ton of noise if you leave anything in there.
