We are all so lucky! Every time I see another 22 Tundra in whatever color with whatever size lift/tire/rims, they all look great. Maybe I’m alone here but I think Toyota hit it out the park with at least the look of the new model. I even like the stash!! Love seeing new ones posted.:yes::yes:

For those that mounted aftermarket wheels, did you keep the OEM TPMS? Is there any benefit over keeping them vs buying aftermarket? I'm buying wheels and tires separate and am debating on having the wheels delivered with TPMS installed ($180 extra) or removed from stock TRD wheels.

No they balanced fine, just make sure the tech knows to inset the weights a little

Finally picked up mine Sr5 crew max offroad this Sunday and like many of you ended up with a colour that was not my first pick but I'm happy with it nonetheless. I've never had an e-parking brake so hoping what sounds like an actuator is normal.

I have less than 100kms on it and oooooo that new car smell...!!!

Can't wait to get my RB 20s mounted up.

Also turns out I really like the OEM 18s and for now might just slap on some 275/70/18s or 295/70/18s and call it... for now anyway.

Bought some Cooper at3xlts in 285/70/17 but sold and will stick with 18s.

Anyone tried the motomaster eliminator trail at? Seen a bunch of paid reviews / free tire for reviews and not much as far as un paid or longer term reviews since they are a relatively new release (~2020?).

Anyway, hoping someone has some insights they'd be willing to share. I'm in the Southcoast of BC/PNW so wet, dry, snow and light offroad performance are all priorities. 5% light offroad and towing, and the rest on road/hwy.

For those who aren't familiar with this tire Canadian tire has these made in the USA by Cooper and they are 3 peak rated with a 96000km warranty. The tread and side wall look pretty aggressive. At this point I'm considering Nokian outpost ATs, these motomasters, and Falken wp at3ws.

In the 275 variety the nokians are the lightest at 52lbs and the wildpeaks the heaviest at 60lbs. I'm still looking for weight info on these motos but if they are like the Cooper at3xlts then they likely are in the middle somewhere?

    Anyway, all thoughts appreciated.

    Thanks!

I have been pondering similar questions.

However, one of my big concerns is the performance on ice as I have daily highway driving and some back roads which will get packed with ice here in Ontario.

It seems that ice performance rating on these 3 peak rated tires aren’t formally evaluated (at least as far as my searches have uncovered).

Traditional snow or winter tires (Blizzaks, X-ice, Winterforce, etc) seem to have a plethora of evaluation data.

A couple buddies are going to test there luck with KO2s this winter and trust that the 3 peak rating translates to good ice performance.

In God we trust - everyone else bring data!

Took a while to get the tires in, but super happy with look. Still need to get the level kit for the front. Methods paired with 34 inch Falken Wildpeaks and absolutely love them. Super quiet on the road and very aesthetically pleasing!!

Ya nothing like objective data. My preference is actually to purchase from kal Tire as I believe that they unlike anyone else include free lifetime rebalancing.

I have to agree, that is very pleasing to the eyes. The level kit will complete the look. What kit are you planning to go with?

Recently I've been wondering how many of us have had to settle for colors that weren't our first choice nor maybe even a color we would have considered in order to our hands on a 2022. I nearly made that decision last week, but I didn't. Now the wait continues.....:sadviolin:

My choices, in order of importance, were: Lunar Rock, Granite Gray, and Army Green. I got my first choice. Everything was about a 3 month wait.

After giving up my quest for a Sequoia (realized I couldn't live without a Tundra), I cancelled my order putting me at the bottom of the waiting list when I put a deposit on a 1794. I never considered Lunar Rock until I saw one. Unfortunately I have my heart set on a 1794 with the Saddle Brown interior and they do not come in Lunar Rock. I'm glad you got your first choice. I'm in month 3 now.

If you can wait for the color you want, I would do so. I think a lot of us, me included, got a color that wasn’t choice #1 because the struggle has been so hard obtaining one. This includes packages too. Man I miss the old days when we could go into a dealership pick the color/package/accessories we wanted and if they didn’t have it They could trade with another dealer and obtain within DAYS. Now it’s months and a struggle to get what you really want. :annoyed:

ABSOLUTELY! I really miss those days. Yes I'm going to wait for my Smoked Mesquite. I was really hoping my Blue Pearl Metallic was going to reappear. The last two Tundras, 2007 and 2016, I have owned were the same color. I'm going to be pissed if it's a 2023 color. Never thought I would like brown but with the bronze Fuel wheels going it, I know it will be sweet.

Excited to share I had my BFG 285/65R20 installed today. It's been a long journey researching and trying to decide the look and capabilities I really want. This tire fits perfectly with no rub. I am really happy so far. Originally my plan was to go with a Westcott lift, now I think I'll be going with a Stage 1 Icon suspension lift, reusing my stock coil springs from the TRD Offroad Package. The Icon can be set at 2.25", or 3" (but the 3" is best with upper control arms); I'll be sticking w/2.25”.

I’d like to especially thank you basen71 for confirming how great these tires look on our builds! Also thanks to you SkiBum95for your pics of your Falkens in this tire size. I love that these are basically 35X11.5 so they fit beautifully w/o any modification. This gives me time to get the Icons. My first impressions driving the new tires are that the ride is the same as stock, and actually feels so much more stable and solid to me. Thank you all for this incredible thread!

Picked up my TRD Offroad Tundra today and ordered the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/Ts in 295/70R18. Will these fit on my stock rims and fit without a lift? If I need to switch out either or both I am fine with that. I tried to get the Tundra Lift ordered but there is a stop on it because they found some issue according to Toyota (Parts Manager called Toyota looking for a part number to put in computer because the one listed wasn’t working)

Discount Tire told me that the weights just wont be able to go in the center of the rim with from what he said most Toyotas prefer but shouldnt be a big issue. I have about 1k miles with my rims and tires and havent noticed any problems with balance or anything.

Wescott 3/1 oem wheels Kenda Klever RT 35 12.5r20. Bora 1 1/4 wheel spacers. Tons of clearance.

Word to the wise. If you go this route and use spacers go Bora, machined 100% for your truck hub centric quality is top notch. Have seen many people offroad heavily with them no issues.

I would say it would be very close.

I would do a small level kit, 1.5 , 1.75 inches and remove front mudflaps and pin the fender liners back. I think that would be the cheapest option until you can get qhat you want.
