Toyota App Truck Avatar

Is there a way to change the truck to your actual truck in the app? My app is showing a truck that only represents mine in color. Not a big deal, more curious than anything.

 

from what i've seen and messed with, no. can change the nickname of the vehicle, but nothing with the avatar/pic.

 

Yea, that's kind of what I thought. Weird that the visual is not representative of the actual VIN.

 

yea....kinda same concept as the startup image on the 2.5 gen trucks in the cluster. it'd show a tundra, but it would be a sub par white double cab instead of what you had...unless you had a sub par white double cab tundra

 

You can change the color of it; it's somewhere within 360 camera options.

I don't think we are talking about the same thing. Yes, you can change the color of your vehicle in the 360 view, inside the truck. I am talking about the model of my truck in the Toyota App. The only thing my app shows correctly is the color of my Tundy.

 

Strange - another weird coincidence is when I got my build sheet from my dealer, it has the same avatar that my app is showing and not true to what my truck actually is.

 

You're right, my bad. Somehow glazed over the "app" part.

But hey, cancel all your app/services and you'll have nothing to worry about!

 

Just curious....its working with your truck right? Like, locks doors, starts it, etc right?

Yep, no problems with the app functionality. Works perfectly. VIN lines up. Truck avatar is of a SR5 with basic silver wheels. I have a SR5 TRD Sport with the 20" black wheels.

I believe the TRD Sport is a dealer added package. So that probably explains it

 

Ha, it is not a dealer added package. My dealer nor port added anything. It was built in Texas exactly as it is today. But I appreciate your input.

 

My bad. i thought the trd sport was similar to the TSS packages added later.
Yours seems to have a glitch or something since everyone else's is representative of their rides

 

I think you are spot on. I might post on FB to see if anyone else has this issue (not really an issue.) Doesn't seem like anyone here has it.
