Anyone have a good long term method to clean the dirty/musty AC smell? It's not the cabin filter, been changed many times. Smells worse when recirc mode is on. Drain tube is operational.

It lasted quite awhile for me. If it doesn't work great, or the smell comes back quickly, you might have to manually clean the coil with a special cleaner they make just for the job.

When you get rid of the smell, from then on, turn your AC off and your fan on a mile or so from home.

I do that. This is more a 6 years of dirty concrete foreman filth being sucking through the ac system.

Wonder if pulling off the blower motor and cleaning the fan and whatever I can reach would help. I have seen the sprays you mentioned.
