My exhaust sounds terrible. What kind of new exhaust system do I want?

I currently have this (says Gibson on the tip):

It sounds like a combination of a 90s Honda ricer and elephant seal mating season. The drone is absolutely unbearable.

I want an exhaust as quiet as possible: as quiet as a navy seal mouses footsteps on a pillow in the vacuum of space with double earpro.

What type of system would you recommend?

Although pricey, I love my TRD dual exhaust with black tips.

Kieth is great for sure. But if you want quiet your best bet is to buy OEM from someone who upgraded to Kieth. lol.

I'm sure he can make a nice aftermarket, but if you don't care about performance and prefer it quiet, Stock is literally engineered for this. (Plus damn near free if you find one)

As others stated see if you can find a stock one.

I would guess since the tip reads Gibson, you may have a bolt-on cat-back system.
That would be easily replaced if that is the case.

If you go the @dirtydeeds route, call Keith.
He will discuss your wants and needs and set you up with the perfect exhaust for your Tundra.

Hey OP I’m located approximately 30 miles south of Cleveland Ohio. I switched out my factory bolt on muffler section a few months after purchasing my truck new. I got the dirty deeds exhaust. If you want my factory muffler section it’s all yours. We can meet up around the Cleveland area if you’d like. It’s literally brand new, only a few thousand miles on it and it’s been sitting in my basement. Let me know.

Also check out some local exhaust shops. Changing out the muffler can yield great results.

Stock exhaust with @dirtydeeds helmholz resonator. Sound deaden and insulate the back wall and floor if you're particularly ambitious.

    Lexus quiet.

i can second this, sound deadening was the most dollar for dollar affective mod i did on my truck. double layer of kill mat every where. doors close solid and my trd exhaust was non existent. i just got a dirty deeds 8" and with the windows up, unless im at full throttle its barely noticeable

What you won't do with any exhaust other than Keith's, is 'trade' it for a quieter model for shipping costs only. Magnadrone, Dronemaster, Corsa, Gibson, Borla or TRD, ain't gonna do it. I started with a 10"; went to a 14" then finally to 20." You're dealing with a custom builder in Keith, not some off the shelf product that just happens to fit your truck, only offering one or two muffler tones for every model.

How are you liking that 20 inch system so far? Is it much different than the 10 and 14 you used to run?
