    Since SPARKS is back ordered on the kit, I was wondering, are these the earlier parts just with the u-nut and bolt added?

    @Tundra234

    did you do this from your old gen 2 to 2.5?

    OP, are you asking from the earlier gen to your current truck?

    In the details Sparks gives you the part numbers. They are Tundra Gen 2 and Sequoia parts plus the hardware. You can buy the hardware at any store or the handle and pillar piece from your favorite Toyota parts store. Note you have to trim the new pillar piece but it is very simple.

    Since Sparks is backordered on the kit, I was asking if these were Gen 2 parts with a u-nut and bolt thrown in. Could have been cleare with my question.

    After French Avacodo's reply I looked up the listed parts and found a pillar cover and handle for $70 on ebay, so I bought them.

    Thinking I can source a u-nut and bolt for way under $100 locally.

    Hardware is under $2. I give credit to Sparks for giving the details including the hardware sizing.

    Shit. I found them in my rat box of miscellaneous/left over fasteners. That was 4 years ago. And allllll good. I think I used a dab of blue thread locker.

    Be careful buying from Ebay or other sources. I tried it once and received a discolored, damaged part, luckily I was able to return it. Also tried the salvage yard thing. As much as I hated paying the price, the Sparks product was spot on and looked new when installed!

    I missed this thread somehow but yes I moved mine from my 2013 to my 2020. The part number is the same for 07-21.

    Sorry to here you had a bad experience. Since I was dealing with someone with a 5000+ feedback and 100% positive. I wasn't too concerned. The few times I have had problems, which were both clocks, I filled an item not as decribed and was promptly refunded my costs.
