Well, my break in has been going great, have about 50 miles left. I noticed a squeak today and went to check it out. Long story short, my front diff was underfilled. I'll post the email I sent the shop that did the work(apparently a very reputable shop)

Here's the email with all the details. Let me know your thoughts. Rear diff had the correct amount of fluid.

I recently had my tundra in for a regear on 9/15 Everything was going great with the break in, but I started to hear a squeak with every rotation of the tire. I jacked up each tire and rotated them to find the culprit. I found out the front passenger wheel was making the noise, so I traced it down further, it was coming from the cv axle seal on the diff housing, the front diff wasn't filled up enough to lubricate the cv axle seal, so it was dry and squeaking.

I pulled the fill plug, and nothing came out, stuck my finger in the hole and couldn't touch oil. It was approximately 20oz low when i filled it up. It only has a capacity of 2.2 qts, so it was 2/3 of the way full, not enough to get to the cv axle seals for lubrication. I've checked the truck after every drive for leaks during break in, and nothing has leaked, it was just underfilled (a comment was made by someone when I asked what type of oil was used that yall ran out of oil and needed to order more, but I didn't think anything of it, as I was told my truck was ready for pick up) If the seals weren't getting oil, that means the bearings weren't getting oil either, and they're likely to fail in the near future.

Dammit DJ. I would take nothing less than a master install kit and a set of replacement gears.

One of my good friends had this happen to his Dynatrac ProRock 60. He has had issues from day one since.

That's what I'm hoping for. Maybe they'll pull through and take care of it for me. I'm thinking the gears are probably good since they had oil, but the bearings need to be replaced at a minimum. At least I have a spare ECGS bushing too (they sent me two accidentally) I'll be calling them first thing Monday morning to see what they can come up with.

Got the passenger side seal and dust shield replaced today. The bearing looked fine, zero play. The magnet had minimal metallic flakes on it. The noise was coming from the very loose dust shield rubbing the seal. It was slowly eating away at it.

I called the owner of the shop and let him know everything. He said without proof they can't know if the diff was underfilled or not. I told him I had proof ( took a video as I cracked the fill plug) he didn't seem too concerned about making anything right on his own, no offers of help or anything. I had to ask him for it. Told him to just take care of anything that may happen in the future due to the underfilled diff. He agreed, but acted like it wasn't a big deal. I'm gonna send him pictures of the dust shields that were damaged and also the damaged cv seal and see if I can at least get compensated for the cost of parts.

Here is how far out the dust shield was pried away from being seated, and a picture of the correct installation done by yours truly20220923_130724.jpg 20220926_123209.jpg
