Hi. I am not a big fan of the gloss black trim around the wheels on my 22" MGM Platinum. Has anyone swapped them out for a color matching set? Does the color matching trim around the wheels on the Capstone come pre painted?

No trim comes pre-painted. You have to order the base trim and have it paint matched or wrapped locally. The only other option is to order the trim through Sparks Parts or OEM Painted Parts (https://www.paintedoemparts.com/store/c203/Tundra.html). Either of those services will have the trim painted for you and ship the pieces to you.

cant you just have the ones repainted locally and be way cheaper, no shipping, no new parts, etc.

they arent chrome I don't think so you can just repaint them?

Yeah, but I did not want the downtime waiting for mine to be painted and if I decide it trade it, I wanted to be able to return to stock. Also I have not found a quality paint shop in my area. But will figure something out soon. I think it will make a big difference.

Being they are already painted and smooth, I would diy wrap them. I wanted to do mine but they are the TRD OR black plastic, no paint. I stuck a piece of vinyl on it but adhesion was terrible. I want to find painted ones I can wrap , or my end up painting mine.
