New to the forums, and I just up sized from my '14 Taco to a CPO 2016 Limited DC and before I go back and have to complain to the dealer I bought it from I wanted to know if this was a common trend.

Over bumps I get moderate to severe steering deviation. The wheel will turn on its own over bumps. Truck tracks straight on good roads just fine so I was thinking the alignment is not the issue. Stock wheels/tires everything.

Don't rule out alignment, if the caster is off, it'll still drive straight but can have some bump steer.

Tire pressure is 33 all the way around. I'm due for oil in 3000 miles so ill probably just have the dealer check the alignment at that time.

NASA--you have a problem! I've owned 4 Tundra's and 4 Tacoma's and have never had anything like what you're describing happen. Could you please provide the mileage and accident history. how about a picture of the front tires wear too. This screams suspension/steering wear or damage problem. I would crawl under there and have someone work the steering wheel back and forth while you're looking for slack in the steering box and/or components. The first thing I would look at is the steering box itself and make sure the bolts are tight.

Does your steering wheel line up the way it's supposed to when your driving in a straight line?
