Did some research on a smaller compact shop vac only for detailing. The Rigid 4050 has quite a few really positive reviews. I did not want the 4070 which has wheels and a basket for attachments, I want it to say in place and not roll around and it just looks lighter lol. And it seems a little more steamline and compact. I did order the 1.78d X 10'L upgraded hose after reading a quite few reviews. The hose it that comes with had a few complaints. One professional detailer @The University of YouTube highly reccomended this upgrade, he made valid points. I also added the carpet nozzle which has a an LED light after reading several very positive reviews. I am sure there are more expensive vacs out there, but for the money and reviews I think it will fit our needs. Lifetime warranty haha...what ever that means??
Total- a buck fifty and two day "free" shipping to my door.

    Since we all like pics...

To get the lifetime warranty, register the item on ridgids website when you get it. Other wise it will have a 3 year warranty, but the lifetime is free, you just need to register it. That includes ridgids cordless power tools as well, including batteries and chargers.

Yeah thanks , I always do the warranty thing, it's just the "lifetime" warranty always makes me kinda laugh and think of click bait. Not many "consumption products" last a "life time" now days.

Will do Steve, I did put a little time in on reviews before ordering, all positive and it really SUCKS  Between this vac and my air compressor-air nozzle which works great, I should be good to go.

Vac arrived today, registered it online and fired it up. It is really a very powerful little unit it SUCKS :rofl:and not that loud. I am glad I listened to the guy on YouTube University and did not get the wheeled version. This is exactly what I wanted as it is a little more compact weighing in at 12 lbs.
I highly reccomend the optional 10' 1 7/8 hose and attachment with the LED light on it. The hose that comes with it is lack luster, short and cheap.

Once the temps cool down a bit I will give it a shake down.

Used the new Ridgid vac this morning. It worked fantastic, but as mentioned buy the optional 10' hose.

I highly reccomend this portable vac, not loud, great suction, and got my carpet super clean.

If you are detailing your Tundra in your garage, I highly recommend the Bissell Garage Pro Wet/Dry Vacuum. I have had this thing mounted in my garage for years and it is amazing.

Comes with everything you need along with a 32ft hose. Same power as the local car wash and easy to maintain. ShopVacs are a pain in the ass because you have to lug them around everywhere. With the Bissell the 32ft hose is all you need.

Hey nice stationary wall unit, just waaaay too much hose to coil up on my garage wall. I have a old Sears wall unit in my basement garage. I really needed a more portable multi use unit with 10' 1.7/8 hose, small, light weight (12lbs) pretty quiet and stores quick and lots of suction power.

Vacuumed out my CM this morning, worked perfect.

For me the the Rigid 4050 is the ticket!

My local store had a few, I was not in a rush so two day "free" shipping worked for me. And I did not know if the local store had the optional 1.7/8 hose and 1.7/8 attachments, so I punted on the 40 min drive and just clicked on exactly what I wanted.

FYI, just got off the phone with HD's 1-800 #. The 4050 has been discontinued and is out of stock. Guess I'm gonna have to get the 4070.

edit: Thanks to @UNTMatt in this thread https://www.tundras.com/threads/garage-vacuum.29514/
I learned there is a 4051. It didn't show up initially , but when I searched for it, it came up. It appears to be the exact same but doesn't come with a diffuser, according to the comparison on the HD website.
