The unloaded ride is still much improved over stock.

    I really hope so.

I am "that guy" when it comes to wanting a truck with bigger tires, some lift, nice sounding exhaust etc yet want a nice comfortable ride. I admit it. lol

What do you realistically plan on doing with your truck?

All jokes aside my truck is used for my everyday vehicle and work which means I travel a lot in it.

Comfortable ride, commuter vehicle that looks good. Basically what my truck is used for with the occasional off road trip or work site recovery.

So primary duty on-road. Do you have any off-road aspirations? What sort of terrain do you have access to? What are you willing to risk if you chose to go off-road? Nominal(daily) payload? "Adventure" Payload? Towing?

Without putting those details out there, i'd be reluctant in accepting advice from any of us, including myself, hence all of the above questions ;)

I broke an RXT leaf back in May, Icon has yet to send out the replacement. DO NOT BUY ICON if you ever think you'll need their warranty. Worst service ever!

Too late for me. I did research and honestly there are folks that like ICON and some that don't. Hopefully I wont have issues with the kit. Im not a heavy Off Road driver anyway. The guys at the shop also recommended this kit for what I need, and I trust them. To each his/her own I guess.

Ive heard the ICON mini pack gives the truck very obvious rake. Curious to know everyones though on whether or not the rear will settle over time to thus no more rake.

But as far as the lift, it’s probably close to the advertised 1.5” but I got mine secondhand and can’t comment. If you don’t do anything up front, then any rear lift will give you rake without additional weight.

Mine ended up around 1.5" lift, just as advertised. No noticeable sag after about 7000 miles.

I’m on the icon 1.5 pack been good so far with airbags. I had the OME with extra leaf last time and might go back. They road well. For the money the icon has been really good. 1.9 6112 in front

What is the range for light load vs. heavy load? Though I think I already know which applies to me…

So this raises the question that would be comparable to the ICON mini leaf pack w/o the intro to "Some Cut"?

So if there is zero load(empty), will a mini pack ride better than shackles?

It’s honestly a pretty good option. It just tends to get squeaky after a while. I’ve heard some have had good luck just pressure washing between the leafs regularly but that didn’t work for me. I did jack the truck to full droop and put grease between the leafs once and that helped for a bit. The squeak is back though.

Did you notice the squeak the heavier the load in bed or even when empty?

I don’t really know how the mini pack rides. I would imagine that more springs with no load would cause a stiffer ride than stock. A shackle with poly bushing will improve the ride over stock in an empty bed scenario, because the factory spring bushing binds and doesn’t allow free movement of the shackle as the leaf spring straightens and arches.

A mini pack without the overload rides much nicer than stock, it just won't have the total weight capacity. I'd call it halfway to a Deaver or Icon full pack.
