Hey Guys .. got a question on the central console. So, there are 2 buttons, on either side to open it. The one on the driver side seems very loose and sort of rattles, while the one on the passenger side sits quite snug and doesnt rattle at all.
Could you advise if this is normal or should I have my Service advisor look into it ( i am going for my firat servicing innthe first week of Oct) ...

You paid for a Capstone model, and you find a rattling pos console door acceptable?
...let that sink in for a bit, then drive right up to your dealership and demand replacement.
    IMO

I have a 1794 and have noticed the same problem. I have tried to figure out how to get to it but I haven’t figured it out. Little things like that I trust myself more than to have the dealer try to fix it

At that price point, I think nothing short of "this is Capstone, the epitome of Toyota Tundra craft and showmanship" is unreasonable.

A ton of people are suffering from the rattle. I know it's not ideal, but not the end of the world for me. I got some dark colored felt pads, put like 4 under the lid, no rattling at all now.

So is the dealer supposed to shaft everyone who paid 65k because someone with a 70k truck rolls up with a problem? Should they siphon gas out of the peasants' trucks to put into the more superior one? This comes across as super entitled. I'm sorry, but even the guy who paid 40k deserves to have concerns addressed. Same as the guy who paid 70k.

My capstone does the same, as do most Platinum and 1794 as far as I know. I shimmed it with chair cushions backed with adhesive and now it's relatively quiet. I would not expect your service advisor to remedy this better than you can do yourself. Nothing about the 2022 Tundra's regardless of trim is the pinnacle or halo of their quality control.

Where have I said that "peasants" do not deserve the same quality of craftsmanship as others, with perhaps higher end models?
My point was that buying a flagship model of the truck should compel one to expect even more rigorous quality control.
This is not to say that every other model should have the same issues.

    Don't insinuate anything I haven't said.
