Restocked up on the WDO, The Jack had a lot of rye spice on the palate but lacks a finish, definitely better with one cube.

All over Europe this is common - more common and less expensive than regular Blanton.

That's what we are here for.... :hattip: I take it this is another thread you just found???

So, based on the fact you've got some camo hangin' in the corner of the pic, I'm assuming that's a personal stash and not a retail shop! Very nice collection I must say. If you haven't had the Weller 12, I'd recommend that next; it's best opened up w/just a splash of water and allowed a little time to breathe!!

yes sir. Personal. Those are just old Army fatigues i can’t find myself able to throw out even though I couldn’t fit in them anymore if i tried!! Sad part is this is not half of it. Truth. Yes I have had the Weller 12 before. I used to be a HUGE bourbon guy, was told by many in the business (people I bought from and became friends with) I had one of the biggest collections they knew of. Literally had to stop cause I had no room to store anymore in the house (had bottles in cabinets all over the damn place—bathroom, laundry, etc). It was pretty bad. I lucked out on the Weller 12 a few years before the Bourbon boom hit and bought a case of the old school bottles:

Yeah those marked prices on the old van winkle, etc... are definitely pre-millennial let's see how bad we can F$%k up the bourbon market by blogging about it pricing!!!!

Note: Sorry, no offense intended to any millennials that happen to pass through this thread. Unless of course you one of the ones who created this market, if so...:mad::mad:

My nickname with couple of the local show was “Case-man” as I would buy a case of what I could. Yea I was one of the peeps others would hate cause I would buy up all I could and since I became friends with some shop owners I got preferences to buy stuff first. NEVER sold any. I would use some bottles to trade with other locals for bottles I could not get or drank and liked but only had one bottle and wanted more so to me not really a bad guy. I don’t buy anymore unless something I really really want. The goal was as I was making good money to buy as much liquor, guns and ammo I could (and I did!!) so that when I retire in couple more years and wouldn’t be making this same income I would be set and have all I need of each. That goal has been achieved o_O
    [couple more case buys]

I know I didn’t help, but the way I looked at it was there were so many damn flippers who didn’t even drink bourbon out there I was trying to prevent them from getting good stuff in my area. Yea check out this vintage pic of some great prices I got on some rare juice:

That 291 is pretty good stuff. High proof but it doesn't bite you like you think it would, I was pretty impressed with it when we stopped by the distillery in Colorado Springs.

With all of that, you're gonna need to store that stuff in a full blown room-vault... But, congrats on retirement plans!!!!!!

True story. When we built the current house several years ago we had to add an extra bedroom for “my retirement stuff”, but it’s frocking filled to the roof now, literally no BS. So overflows into other storage places in the house. Off limits is the kids rooms/their areas upstairs. Everywhere on first floor is fair game! Guess I’m complaining about a good thing. I know I am fortunate, but to be honest been Thru some bad/tough stuff in the past so maybe it all equals out in the end…..I am also a big proponent of sharing and if you came to my area in Louisiana you would be invited over for some good pours. Love the cold weather (hadn’t hit us yet) and sitting outback with a nice fire pit and some brown juice and just visiting with friends……

I picked up a Gold Spot 135th 9 year Irish Whiskey and a bottle of Springbank 10 year Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Curious to see how they taste. Anyone tried either one before?

Love the ECBP batches!! You ever get to try the “hazmat” version/batch? That was the only one at tad over 140 proof. Magnificent heat in a bottle…..:boom:

I picked up some EC single barrel 11 year a few weeks back. I was told the 11 year is not very common.
