If you purchase a Carista and the subscription service to enable or disable a feature, do you need to keep the subscription to keep the feature enabled or disabled or will it remain so if the subscription is cancelled?

no you do not need to keep the subscription.

it comes with a month included, just change the settings you want then cancel the subscription

if you ever need to edit the settings you will need to purchase the subscription (think it’s $10 for a month). Then you would do the same thing. Just make the changes then cancel subscription

I just took mine (2016) and they disabled it for me for free. I have a big lab that rides shotgun with me that sets off the sensors. Was a quick 15 min trip to the dealer to turn it off

I did it in my 2007 the manual way. Pop the seatbelt trim off and remove the spring that holds up the sensor. It will think its always down. No issues. There are plenty of posts on here about it.

Passenger side I left alone because the seatbelt sensor is linked into how the airbag turns on and off. When the dog sits there I clip the belt in across the seat or have a cut off seat belt that I plug in.

Those work, no problem. The seat belt size is universal.

When I hit the first gate at the hunting ranch I just fasten the belt over the seat.

That would be nice. My dealer wants I think over $150 to turn it off.

Still kicking myself for not remembering to put that in the deal when I bought my '21.

Not sure. It worked on my 2011 tundra and my friends 2015 tundra. I even ended up using it on my wife’s 2017 pathfinder

    This is from my app
