So I've seen a lot of people using this Nite Shades product to tint their tails and 3rd brake light. Looks pretty cool and a very cheap alternative to buying new tail lights, but how well does it work?

If you have any experience with it or would recommend it or not, please let me know. Thought about trying it, but wanted to ask first. Also, I've seen videos online, and to me, they look more purple than actually "smoke". Maybe it's just the camera.

    Anyway, let me know, Thanks..!

Prep is key, then adding coats to achieve the darkness you're going for. Also, take them to a body shop after you're done spraying them, and have them clear the taillights. They will not fade with a professional clearcoat on them.

Yeah, I've seen a video where the guy lightly sanded down the factory, sprayed them, sanded again, and then hit them with a clearcoat. Looked good, but still looked a hint of purple.
