Man, I took the lift to another Toyota dealership and they are installing it for $1500 less than Longo Toyota. I should have it by end of day tomorrow.

Does anyone have parts numbers for individual components of this kit?

Specifically looking for the cv’s, lower knuckles, tie rod end links and tie rod sleeves.
    Thanks

There’s a stop sale on all those individual parts, the ones you listed, right now.

Thank you for having the balls to go with machined wheels too. Trend setter! Black wheels are tired and we are at the front of the line!

What’s a “stop sale?” Or more specifically why does that happen?

Per my understanding It’s where the manufacturer puts a hold on the sale of the part (so it stops shipping to regional distribution centers and they in turn stop passing it on to dealers who may want to procure the part for a customer).

From what I see the most common reason it seems to happen is if there is an issue with the item and the manufacturer wants to limit or slow its momentum from getting out (recalls for instance so they want an inspection to happen).

In this case (I was told by a dealer parts guy on Thursday) they think that Toyota is getting overwhelmed with orders/request for this new lift and rather than pile up a back order list they go this route to allow the manufacturing and distribution to catch up with demand.

So…not an expert but it’s what I was told. Someone else may have a better explanation.

That’s about how I understand it.
    In regards to the individual part numbers, the dealer also told me ;
“We do not know when, or if, they will be available again.”

Does anyone know if this OEM kit is able to be installed on trucks with AVS/air suspension?

It cannot be installed on any with the AVS/ air suspension or just rear leveling air suspension from what I have gathered. I am sure all the front components can but it's the air rear that makes it not possible. I am hoping they come up with something for the rear with air leveling. Would love to have this on my truck.

I'm going to try it. I have a kit and will work through it with the dealership. My plan is to adjust the air springs to gain 1". It's TBD for swapping out the shocks if there an error code.

Sweet. I take it you have the AVS/ Air... I'll be interested to know how it works out so I can explore eventually getting it.

Yup I have both. I could care less about the adjustable shocks so hopefully there is a setting to mute any potential error code.

I would think you can mute any code from talking with a buddy who said he has done that on other vehicles. Yeah, no AVS on mine, just the leveling air which has been nice towing my travel trailer. But I still would like the OEM lift kit if there is a way.

Yeah at the same time I'm going to have the tech disable the piped in exhaust sounds. So probably something in techstream. Also going to tackle towing mirrors. It'll be a learning experience for me and the dealership. I'll pass on the learnings.

The CV angles do look a bit steep. Probably not the end of the world, though. Really looks like the boots should have been clamped down closer to the center of the axles for better spacing between the ribs. Impressive kit, TRD doesn't jack around, their kits have all the goodies included like extended brakelines, etc. Congrats, the shocks look beefy enough for the godawful looooong washboard roads in Utah. I've found over the years a set of Sumos, Timbrens, or airbags are very helpful to prevent the rear shocks from cycling too much and fading on washboards. Not a happy situation trying to brake into a corner with faded rear shocks.

    Looks to be a 2”
Local dealership quotes 12 hours which I have no problem with. They won’t warranty the parts though which on one hand I understand they see it as owner supplies parts. The other hand is furious because they will warranty a rough country 3.5” lift if they supply the parts but deny an actual Toyota engineered part. I live in the same town as the YouTube guy complaining about his spacer lift/cv axle issue with dealership btw.
I may just install it myself if there is no warranty. At least I will know I have an excellent leveling kit rather than some crap slapped on that voids the warranty for inferior parts. Ugh. Not surprised though.

    Yeah this is crap.
My dealership honors it as long as it’s a Toyota part/box/packaging

Did you notice if the wheels poke out more or less than your previous spacer lift?

I’ll be going from stock to TRD lift. seems like the westcott guys recommend a (+) offset, but wasn’t sure if they would be too tucked with the new suspension.

They poke out quite a bit. I’m actually swapping to +35 wheels. Hopefully they don’t rub
