    Hello,
    I’ve tried searching…..came up empty.

I don’t want to debate shims vs shocks vs uca’s etc.

I’m trying to understand how a 1/2” shim lifts the front 1”. Does someone have a diagram or picture showing the geometry? I cannot rap my rain around how the shim doubles the lift.

    Thankyou,
    Bryan

The shock is mounted inboard of the tire so there is a motion ratio/cantilever effect where extending the shock 1/2" moves the tire out at the end 1".
